I think many investors are really not sure of themselves & would rather take a bet on something much riskier.
I notice a lot of co.'s that will probably never see a profit & are losing massively are valued at several times TRW.
Somewhere along the road these should come right!

What kind of a world is it when the stock market punishes a company for announcing good results! Why on earth has the price bombed!

Interim results out today :

KEY POINTS:

Financial

• Turnover up 46% to £6.3 million (2000 : £4.3 m)
• EBITDA up 111% to £1.3 million (2000 : £0.6 m)
• Earnings per share after head office costs up 21% to 1.42p (2000 : 1.17p
with no head office costs)


Operational

• Solid performance in difficult market conditions
• Approaching £1 million of operating costs removed from the business
• Significant orders worth over $2m from Digital Think, Stellent and NCR
• Good progress on product development

Commenting on the results, Brian Raven, Chairman, said: "I am especially pleased to report that over the last six months Transware has continued its unblemished record of sustained growth in revenue and profit, despite the difficult economic climate. The long term commitments we have from a number of our clients, combined with our sharp focus on productivity and cost control are the cornerstones of our success."

I would'nt panic too much someone just sold the same amount of GLD - probably owned from pre-split & decided to out em'.

From February's 'Company Refs';-

a/ Prospective PE ratio of 5.39.
b/ Forecast growth in earnings per share of 45.3%, based on two broker forecasts, both of which recommend as a buy.
c/ Three directors buying in last three months.

Ah, the art of feeling around for the bottom :) I was playing around with ACV but then I lost my nerve when the buy price jumped 43% in 13 seconds! I'm going to keep watching. I'm not averse to missing a day in order to ensure I get a good deal. There's only so far it can go. I'd call the bottom as soon as it gets there! This stock is so slow-moving, it'll let you know when its good and ready! Besides, hopefully there won't be any more sept 11s to scare us.

Yep, dropping back towards the 40 mark. I'm in at 42ish. Strong trading potential.

u got it peeps selling out at present daft with this spread maybe hoping for low 40ps if nas falls who knows what the mark down would be in absense of buyers

Contractnote - agreed. I think it needs a little more retracement yet.

The pattern looks fairly predictable, but I need to watch it a little longer to get data on spreads over rise ad fall. Seems like a rising spread is about 2-3p, and a falling one is about 5p. Buy in at 44, sell out at 50. Anyone think this is accurate?

New to this stock, but it looks like a fat cashcow - predictable swings and decent percentage movement. Sorry to sound mercenary, but we're in this for the money, after all.

Anyone else trading this one?

SarahBudd is probably right. TRW may well be in Techinvest portfolio by now & announced tomorrow.
