Sarah I hope you are joking about Smiths as you maybe confusing the US TRW which is a multi-billion Airline engineering co.

It seems to be following it's general chart pattern of the last few months - riding between 40p & 60p.
I don't think we will see much action until we get a genuine Techmark breakout.
Smiths have nothing to do with them.

EPS for year to June 2002 4.4p, 2003 6.2p.

Rolling P/E 2 = 6.91.

Worth about £1-50 now.

5x30=150, June

30 is a conservative enough P/E target for a company growing as fast as this.

Perhaps I am a bit over-entuhsiastic, and I should say the share price WILL BE (imho) £1-50 when the next results are announced.

Shares magazine went through the results, and repeated alot of what the company has already said .
The interesting part was that Beeson Gregory were forecasting 9.5p earnings per share for next year.
This gives a PE ratio of just over 4, for a rapidly growing company, with cash of 3.5p per share.

I agree with you about the short-term punters, but seems silly to sell at this price as I they hav'nt been trading much below this level they must be losing.
There's no harm in selling at a reasonable price & maybe back in later - but why kick ya'self in the balls.
Maybe a good write-up & some Director purchases might give them a boost.

Its dropping because we live in a world of short term punters and i guess theres no obvious good news to come in the next month, so best to play elsewhere until these go sub 40p.
