All of the software sector seems to be up today
But this is doing especially well
Any particular reasons,
it is on
top risers and fallers, but even they do not know the reason
(they give reasons for the top 25 risers and fallers of the day - update at 12 and 4 BTW)

on fundamentals these look good but there doesnt seem much recent info since the warn of a slowdown, dropped yesterday, but up 7% by 10 am today , all buys so far

There was actually more buying than selling by the end of the day (81,000 buys and 74,000 sells).
Cannot find any news anywhere - buying oppurtunity?

Not quiet sure what the selling's all about - does'nt appear to be any profit warnings or anything else occurring.
In fact the sector is having a boom in the US.
More likely down to wobbly investors in this vollatile mkt. imo

Guess its OK to post Techinvest's nap tip article from earlier in the month - well worth the subscription, by the way:-

'Transware is another successful recommendation from October when the shares were tipped at 31p. The company provides localisation and translation services for software product companies, with particular focus on the fast growing e-learning market. Most of the operations are based in Ireland.
House broker Beeson Gregory is forecasting eps of 5p for the current year to 30 June, 2002, with 7.1p for the year after. Corporation tax at 10% is validly assumed, since nearly all activities are subject to low Irish corporation tax'.

2002 eps 5.69p, 2003 eps 9.03p. They look to be good for a bounce back up before too long, certainly on fundamentals they look quite cheap, though haven't researched them in depth.

Sorry, this is only partly helpful. No doubt you have heard it before, but what makes ashare rise and fall is a complete mystery even to the so-called experts.
Otherwise, I can only think that the MMs have seen the latest from Techinvest (New Year nap tip) and Equity Investigator - fairly strong 'buy' signal, and they are marking the price down to hope for a few sellers.

At the p/e of 15 in a year this share should be about £1
