Interesting reading the comments - I've been on the verge of dipping my toe in the water with these but not quite brave enough - they do look good value but the markets don't seem to have much appetite for small tech stocks at the moment and if the results are worse than expected then there may not be an expected rise... However the potential is there for a substantial rise if the results reassure.. You pays your money and takes your choice...

-i've got a few of these....
-trouble is, 9 times out of 10 the share price is right
-news leaks out, a few sells trickle down the price etc etc
-i think we can probably take it business is not that great
-all the same, on the basis of the interims, fall looks overdone to me
-but not brave enough to buy any more of them

Brave move isis, could look very shrewd in the future, fingers crossed.

Added another 10k on the basis that they'll be no profit warning.

On the other hand their 2nd biggest client Skillsoft SKIL are going great guns and their shareprice is at an all time high.

Well something caatastrophic would have to have happened to have reversed the forecasts. In fact even the half year profits would leave them on a p/e of 14.
My main concern is their agreement with SMTF who shares have plummeted since they pulled the merger with Centra. This may only be a local problem & I think much of the work had already been signed off.
If all is well then this stock is a bargain.

He did not mention current trading, he said the share price does not reflect the present value or potential of TRW in his opinion.

I don't want to read too much into it but a reassuring announcement would only be a risk if a future announcement was negative.
They were cash positive and in profit in the last results, hopefully this will continue to be the case. There are plenty of other tech stocks going down for no apparent reason so hopefully this is the case here. Time will tell.

Did he mention current trading - they would look suspect if they issued a profits warning now, which is my biggest worry.

I don't think a trading statement would be a bad thing & would not put-off investors from buying so I can't understand why he thinks it could have an adverse effect.
My only concern is that they remain on target, but I'm not sure he has answered that.

This is getting hammered. I emailed the company, Oliver Cooke says decline is more to do with negative sentiment than any informed opinion. He says a reassuring announcement will probably have no effect and "might perversely
risk undermining the importance the market would attach to future
announcements put out by the Company."
That doesn't make sense to me, any views?

Is the current tick-down (on very small volume) just the market-makers trying to scare-monger..... I've not seen a single piece of news on TRW recently, though on interim earnings ONLY they are on a PE of just less than 20. Any one any comments?

R&C are slaaged off for overspending on trying to turn GLD of which TRW was part of into an e-commerce company. This failed along with virtually every other e-commerce co.
The lack of news does not help matters & it would be nice to get an update saying trading remains steady, rather than anything nasty.

Their year end is next month & they are also launching a new product "Erudigm" which has already been trialled & bought by a major client.
Now providing there is no profit warning in the next few weeks - which is leaving it a bit late anyway they look very cheap. As with everyting at the moment I would expect orders to have slowed - but fundamentals all look good.
Not expecting any great shakes on the shareprice, but will be happy if they just stay in line.

I have a feeling in my water that this might be the bottom. Need a few more days without further falls, and preferably a penny or two rise before I'm convinced.

Any other views?

I'm waiting to top up my holding, which was never big (even before the split from Gladstone), but is presently worth doodle squat.

I was hoping 30p was the floor. If nothing is amiss, they look very cheap. Hopefully just poor sentiment and distressed selling as in many tech stocks at the moment.

A few buys and a penny rise all of a sudden.
Anyone think this could, just could, be the bottom?

Bought some more this morning - looks like the bottom unless something unusual crops up.

Starting to edge up, there are quite a few buys going through, the spread has narrowed and hopefully the bottom has been reached.
I bought in yesterday, forecast eps is 4.4p this year and 6.2p next year giving a pe of only 5!

I wouldn't mind buying at this level, but the 5p spread is outrageous (nearer 4p in reality, but still >10%).

This share seems to fall on low volume and for no apparent reason. Perhaps some are selling for tax reasons.Whatever, I think I shall watch this one closely as sentiment may change. The last interims were good and deserve better than this.

Shares magazine is saying this week that the language interpretation side of the business could be big, and that the eps is expected to increase to 9.5p in the next two years.
