" ... Quantum computing also has the potential to eliminate bugs in software.
The reason software isn't sold with a guarantee is that you can't guarantee that all the lines of computer coding don't clash with each other.
Which is quite a sobering thought, when you remember how much of our world is dependent upon computers.

"Boeing delays 737 Max return date to July
21 January 2020
... The jet has been grounded since March after two fatal crashes, which together killed 346 people.
... It previously said it expected the planes to be cleared for approval before the end of 2019. But in December, Boeing announced plans to halt production of the aircraft and last week, it confirmed it had found a new problem in the software.
... Boeing has been under intense scrutiny since two 737 Max planes crashed within five months of each other, first in Indonesia and then in Ethiopia.
Air safety officials investigating the tragedies have identified an automated control system in the plane, known as MCAS, as a factor in both crashes.
Boeing has said the MCAS software system, which relied on a single sensor, received erroneous data, which led it to override pilot commands and push the aircraft downwards.
It has said it is fixing the software and has overhauled its review procedures.
But US lawmakers, who are investigating the company, have said the firm was aware that the software system could be unreliable. They have accused the company of trying to hide the risks and rush the plane back into service, while criticising the US regulator - the Federal Aviation Administration - for failing in its duty of oversight.
The 737 Max is Boeing's fastest selling aircraft. An updated version of the company's short- and medium-haul workhorse, it was designed to be more fuel efficient than its predecessors."

"Ray,
Here's something that isn't hush hush and top secret.
Cambridge Quantum Computing Ltd. are currently hiring for about twenty jobs! ... "

Further to that above news just over six months ago, CQCL's hiring programme seems to have gone well.

The company's Wikipedia page shows it as having eighty employees (in 2019):
"Number of employees 80 (2019)"

And the company is currently hiring for just eight positions.

Thanks for the info godolphin. They really need to work on their company names. As well as giving investors in ITS their money back.

I see Stanhill set up "Compositional Intelligence Limited" and brought in Bob Coecke who seems to be an expert in quantum theory. A bit of an odd move but be interesting to see what happens next.

Not in their nature Mark.

They stitched everyone up when it was a gold explorer, and then again after purchasing GOS. You couldn't make it up it's so bad, I lost out twice here.
One mistake like this and my medium/high risk portfolio was wiped out.

As the old saying goes, when you pick something that is made out to look too good to be true, it usually is. They completely misled us with the RNS's that they were putting out, there should have been an investigation into their shenanigans.

Thanks for that ih: this development looks like a major boost for the quantum computing industry -

"Physicists produce quantum states in ordinary electronics
The findings may prove to be revolutionary.
by Tibi Puiu - December 10, 2019 in News, Physics
... Awschalom and colleagues published a paper in the journal Science, demonstrating they could electrically control quantum states embedded in silicon carbide. Immediately, this opens the possibility of designing quantum computers based on traditional materials, which could vastly accelerate their development.
... For decades, consumers have enjoyed the dividends of Moore’s Law — an empirical observation that states the number of transistors in an integrated circuit doubles every two years or so. This prediction has proven true ever since it was first proposed by American engineer Gordon Moore in 1965. However, there’s a physical limit to how many transistors you can cram into a chip — and in a decade we should all be feeling it. But, by integrating quantum mechanics with classical semiconductor technology, these new developments suggest that we might not only avoid Moore’s brick wall but scale computing power to incredible heights. ..."

Ray & Mark,

The DFX exit price offered of 3p per share is very similar to the closing DFX share price on Friday 31.10.19, of 2.75p.
The DFX share price then to collapsed to 0.75p on Friday 1.11.19, one trading day before the delisting was announced: not very admirable that, is it?

And they may only be making the offer because they might struggle to get the necessary 75% approval otherwise.

But the obvious point in comparison to TGL's delisting is that DFX's delisting is voluntary: how on Earth was TGL supposed to make this sort of offer before delisting when it was delisted against its will when time ran out?

That said, if CQCL acquires ITS then we may potentially get a similar option, though I personally would opt for shares in CQCL - the upside could be enormous.

04/11/2019 07:00 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Defenx plc Proposed cancellation of admission to AIM LSE:DFX Defenx Plc
"Defenx PLC (AIM: DFX), the cyber-security software group, announces that it intends to seek shareholder approval to cancel the admission of its ordinary shares of 1.8 pence each in the capital of the Company ("Ordinary Shares") to trading on the AIM Market of the London Stock Exchange (the "Cancellation").
The Company intends to publish a circular, during November 2019, detailing the Cancellation and convening a general meeting of its shareholders to approve the Cancellation to take place in December 2019 / January 2020.
The Cancellation will be conditional upon the consent of not less than 75% of votes cast by Defenx's shareholders at the general meeting. The board of the Company (the "Board") notes that BV Tech S.p.A. ("BV Tech"), the Company's majority shareholder, has a current interest in 67.1% of the Company's issued share capital and BV Tech has indicated that it will enter into an irrevocable undertaking to vote in favour of the Cancellation.
Subject to shareholder approval, it is expected that the Cancellation will take effect during December 2019 or January 2020. ..."

"Very dissapointed with the response. Quantum keys should come out next year 2020. But...,GOS no longer has distrubtion capability apparently, we have outsourced. Does not bode well.
I have said surely they need to gear back up again, this is a unique opportunity at a special time, we still have the rights for 3 years, we are a tech security Co and this is state of the art. Otherwise what was the point?
I also said Cqcl just raised 60m euro and is doing great. Can we not leverage off this success in other ways?
My fear now is this all took too long and GOS is no longer part of the plan, its tech is now dated and the business maybe just getting run down. Hmm."

Thanks for those updates Chesy.

60M. Euro equates to £51.3M. at current exchange rates.
(1 Pound sterling equals 1.17 Euro)

Which suggests that CQCL could currently be valued at £ hundreds of millions at its valuation based upon that fundraising.

And of course it gives it the necessary funding to help fulfil its ambitions, which should help its valuation further.

It would be disappointing if they no longer wish to use GOS Systems to distribute IronBridge in Europe, but let's wait to see what pans out.

Chesy

Thanks for the update. Agree it doesn't sound good.

So they are now telling us GOS is not capable or financially secure enough to distribute anything relating to CQCL.

We've been sold a pup by the looks of things. Ilyas and Co should be ashamed of themselves. But I seriously doubt they are.

Laughing up their sleeves more like.

Hi everyone. Another year gone and another year not moving forward. Do we think there will ever be a tie up to CQC which is beneficial to us? At the moment it just feels they took our money and ran. Not a lot of integrity shown by Cambridge Quantum.

And the problem Chesy is that it was the Quantum Key news that was the BIG news that confirmed to us investors that we had a rosy future going forwards with our link to CQC, I actually topped after that news and I imagine that I was not the only one. But the share price hardly moved after the RSN, that was the strange thing that I remember. So we were shafted basically, I guess companies can just say when they want and mislead shareholders then with no repercussions?
It stated quite clearly that we had the rights for 3 years from the release date.

Thanks for the update CC, coupled with my phone conversation where Idris positively informed me they has £15k income from one aspect of GOS systems (can’t remember if it was monthly or yearly but either way not enough to resist with) maybe they they just intend to pay themselves and live of whatever comes in.

What I don’t get is the relatively positive and upbeat updates prior to delisting. The volume was not high enough to allow too many to get out in the know, but it kept people in for the supposed short suspension. It seems they don’t have much of a plan to come back to market or deliver share holder value, all very confusing. The worrying thing is they have sold Some of CQC shares which seems to be our key asset.

HH is there still hope now we don’t have Ironbridge and they are chipping away at the CQC shares?
