02/11/2020 09:04 | You wont begin to tell anyone that you know what that means but it's a differentiator? What kind of gibberish is this? | dave2608
02/11/2020 07:51 | Axdelta - a differentiator is mentioned in that video. They call it real odo. I won't begin to tell anyone I know what that means because I will get slated by the bears for guessing wrong. Is it a differentiator? Why did Chris mention it so many times? Why is real odo important to these service providers? | trakm8fan
31/10/2020 09:52 | BTW - Gross margins will be above 60% which is 8% higher than last year which I'm assuming is the SAS model (recurring revenues) beginning to work their magic. It takes time but it's worth waiting for. I also noticed in the Chris Horbowyj interview that the interviewer mentioned more than 250,000 live devices installed (248,000 mentioned in the trading statement) which is an interesting figure to keep our eyes on moving forward. Anyway, interims at end of November. | michaelmouse
31/10/2020 09:29 | trakm8fan - Interim results are from April to end Septembers so we pretty much know the results for this period from the trading statement:- All eyes will be on the outlook. Revenues should be around £7.2m, gross profit £4.3m/£4.4m (so not dissimilar to last year with the 8% improvement in gross margin to around 60%). Overheads will be roughly £4.8m (reduced by 30% from last year). That gives a loss of around £400,000-£500,000 at the interim stage which is a massive improvement on last year's adjusted loss of £1.5m, and tallies with their statement that adjusted loss is 75% down on last year. The unadjusted loss before tax will be just under £1m (55% down on the unadjusted £2.2m loss last year). Orders were up 9% on the corresponding period last year with net debt at similar levels. The forward looking statement will be interesting but if they can successfully navigate the current unprecedented circumstances (and I think they're doing pretty well so far) then I believe Trak are a terrific recovery play with a client roster that boasts Sainsburys (?), Iceland, Scottish Power, Direct Line, E.On, the AA and many other household names. Their technology is second to none as evidenced by their client base. Uncertain times for everybody of course, but companies like Trakm8 are high risk/ high reward. We should know more towards the end of November. As ever it's up to individual investors to do their own research. Best of luck. | michaelmouse
30/10/2020 09:50 | Micheal Mouse - if there has been some uptick in volumes in the last 4 to 6 weeks then would these filter through to the results in November? | trakm8fan
29/10/2020 17:06 | Like watching paint dry. | emptycup
29/10/2020 15:21 | An interview that is a very worthwhile watch, around 9mins onwards is particularly interesting. | michaelmouse
28/10/2020 13:49 | Oldish news above. Just realised. Apologies. | michaelmouse
28/10/2020 13:30 | "The AFP is made up of seven committees, covering Government bodies and trade associations, light commercial vehicles, EVs, low carbon and alternative fuels, road use and planning, risk and compliance, future mobility steering, and Covid-19. Each committee will work as an idea hub to improve fleet strategies, as well as policy and action, across Government, the HMRC and the DVLA. Paul Hollick, AFP Chair, commented: “We are delighted that, as a well-respected and innovative brand, Trakm8 has become one of our first Fleet Service Support Members. It is truly fantastic that they have immediately seen the benefits of joining the AFP, as we collectively focus on ensuring our industry has a voice within the UK corridors of power, while also raising the standards within the fleet industry.” | michaelmouse
22/10/2020 09:01 | Goodness me, this TRAK/QTX debate has been simmering for a long time. I got into trouble back in the day for daring to criticise TRAK. Some posters were polite though 😊 TRAK was over a £1 then (down from over £3). I usually have a quick look at TRAK when QTX reports. Not sure why anymore. It used to be to try to get a second measure of the market change, particularly when QTX were losing insurance business hand over fist. Tough times. GLA apad PUGUGLY - 23 Feb 2017 - 22:42:40 - 1308 of 5251 TRAKm8 Cutting edge Telematics & vehicle management - TRAK APAD: Many thanks - Initial Google searches certainly show market is very crowded. For interest neither TRAX nor QTX showed up in the first 2 pages- with a search for "telematics fleet management route planning UK" TRAK was half way down the 3rd page 6 pages gone and no sign of QTX yet. I appreciate what you say about buy -v- organic. I instinctively favour the former as your staff should have far greater understanding and knowledge of the product- especially if a small coy - Sometimes however large coys think they have to buy in and end up losing the farm - The worst example I got caught by was Marconi during the internet bubble when the clever directors bought a load of duff software coys and went bust in short order. Small coys can also fail to develop the product to a meet customer requirements and/or fail to SELL it and so go bust - eg:Infobank - An old mate of mine (who was involved in the coy )made it to the Times rich list one year and then to obscurity the next !! Sorry off TRAK ! but looks like I will have to look very much more closely at TRAK management and business structure. many thanks to all those above who have given of your time and advice. | apad
22/10/2020 07:33 | Encouraging trading statement from QTX market cap. £153m. Read across to TRAK? market cap £7.25m. Very illiquid as always. Moved up over 7% yesterday on very small buys. | michaelmouse
21/10/2020 07:25 | Sainsburys deal for 2000 vehicles with driver behaviour, vehicle health and slot booking route optimisation is brilliant news if you ask me. And let's not forget Raza bought £50k in shares off the back of this news. If you bears see this as bad news then I dont think you can understand basic logic. Sainsburys is a big company. Sainsburys is a great name. Sainsburys buying our full offering is great news. A small AIM based tracker business doing deals with the likes of Sainsburys can only be good news if you ask me. Is this blatant ramping - yes maybe it is. The bears says its a rubbish deal - blatant de-ramping. The facts are simple. The deal has been done. No one is suggesting thats not true. The tales of no profit from the bears are just that - fiction. Believe whatever you want but remember the facts - Sainsburys for 2000 vehicles. | trakm8fan
19/10/2020 15:50 | Would a winding up petition suffice? | dave2608
19/10/2020 12:23 | trakm8Fan - How much more evidence do you need to switch from bull to bear? | dave2608
19/10/2020 10:44 | Mark. I don’t hear anything positive from any of your staff, customers or dealers. As you know I have close contacts in your organisation at very senior level but no one has anything good to say about Trak- How come you keep getting it so wrong!! | 6jacko
19/10/2020 10:13 | Jacko - what needs to happen for you to switch from bear to bull? | trakm8fan
19/10/2020 09:03 | Not great news as we all know the the deal, we all know is Sainsburys and was a desperate win to keep away from the smarter guys @Algorythm people who took Selco one of Traks big accounts as they screwed up big time. Done at less than £10 per month I'm told with huge bespoke dev costs just about breaks even, another smart move by Mark Watkins and you wonder why the negativity against him, the man is totally incapable! I'm told huge staff attrition currently and a HR monkey running sales, desperate times I'm afraid. I'm with Blondie all the way. | 6jacko
19/10/2020 08:04 | Michael Mouse - several years ago this would have been great news. Now it doesn't even spark any interest. I have no idea what something like this makes in terms of profit. At £50 per month x 2000 that's £1.2m a year. Even at £10 per month that's still £240k per year. How much is optimisation worth. How much is this slot booking they keep talking about worth. How much is driver behaviour worth. The bears will say its zero profit. The bears will say its not a real deal. The bears will say is not news. At some point these deals have to impact profit. Lets hope it's soon. | trakm8fan
16/10/2020 17:37 | "Trakm8 confirmed as new fleet management provider for major retailer" "The new partnership will see Trakm8 provide route optimisation and slot booking algorithms to a major retailer which operates more than 2,000 delivery vehicles nationwide. The aim of the partnership is to help the supermarket chain shore-up its operational efficiencies, maximise delivery capabilities and ensure its drivers are working in the most fuel-efficient, cost-effective ways possible." | michaelmouse |
