Given these two renewals I am surprised we have had no trading update which reflects the current crisis but shows they are ok.

I shouldn't read too much into it but I am also mildly reassured by the 20,000 lunchtime buys for the last three [of four] trading days.

Good stuff. Thanks for posting. I like the sound of the length of the renewal. Suggests that many of the contracts don't just get switched off and on, like a light (or during a 2 or 3 months of disruption).

Well I'm a raging bull - in case you hadn't noticed - so I am only expecting good news and therefore hoping for a price rise. Therefore I'd rather get these shares into my ISA now at the lower price.

Might actually be better to wait until the update ..in case of any surprises.

I tried the same, but HSBC has suspended the service for now, so I'll have to wait.

I'm trying to organise a bed and isa type deal today with the last parcel of 45000 shares I bought about 6 weeks ago. That kicks off this year's ISA for me. I thought they were a bargain at about 16p at the time. Oh well surely the news is due soon. Come on trakm8 let us see your numbers.

more desperation.... I think this article reads better (addresses my concern about ease of use) hxxps://greenfleet.net/news/14042020/trakm8-makes-route-optimisation-tool-free-during-pandemic Ps. Well done to all those who purchased AA recently

They seem to have updated their COVID19 statement as well. I disagree Blonde. Looks more like the new sales and marketing director is working hard. AA doing very nicely today as well :)

Posted on their web site on the 8th hxxps://www.trakm8.com/news/free-route-optimisation-tool-from-trakm8-during-crisis Not sure how easy it is to incorporate into existing solutions but may prove a good loss leader (I assume there is no actual cost to this service other than admin/support).

I think it's important they update the market this April. Not happy with the brevity of trading update that accompanied the new director appointment. We need to know more about the impact of COVID19. I don't buy that it will result in the end of the company, but would like to have more of an idea on the scale of the impact. Also be good to have some numbers. That said, I think the gov is chomping at the bit to get the country back open and whilst there's a inevitably going to be a few more weeks of lock-down, I think we''ll be off again (slowly and steadily) by May.

Reassessed the stock and it seems solid with cash generation up massively with a strong order book for this year. I also bought AA this morning luckily before it rallied. AA's results were strong and is a big customer for Trak8.This is a buy and stick in a draw stock which has not participated in the rally so far.

Just to add, I can see that Microlise also recently put out what I would describe as a 'we're doing our bit' statement that also provides a platform from which to shout about products / solutions capabilities. Besides haven't they just taken on a new sales marketing director. In my view it's about time trak polished the race car a little more often.

dc2 post 4835 - Perhaps the key point is that the large array of insurers that trakm8 already serves will be very pleased that they chose trakm8 because of the ease of the self-installation devices, and whether it's now or in the future, prospective clients are going to consider that the self-installation devices a far more practical solution. As I said before, you can't not renew your car insurance. It's a no brainer at the moment to go to somebody like 'By Miles' for a telematics device when your car is just gathering dust outside your home. I'm glad they're drawing attention to their self-install devices, it's a massive competitive advantage in these circumstances.

It reeks of desperation and begging for new business. And if you read at the end they will also do it for free as they will "removed our normal upfront costs to help insurers and brokers move swiftly" Those have the slimmest margins of all, practically not worth selling as it's £3 per dongle. And they'll remove their upfront costs as well? So loss making. Business as usual. Sales are vanity, profits are sanity and TRAK is insane. They must be really hurting right now, burning cash like insane but this time they're out of choices: no placing possible, already got a government loan, already got a partner to buy 20% for peanuts and already maxed the credit card into the red. No cost cutting left either as they have been doing that for 2 year already, there's not much left to cut other than laying off massively their IT department. With Oil dropping like crazy, telematics savings in gas also do not make so much sense anymore compared to the cost of such an investment. This is really getting hit from all sides. I was an idiot to not have seen this coming but at least I got out at 16p.

Another news item hxxps://www.trakm8.com/news/trakm8-helping-insurers-keep-data-flowing Reads well but I do wonder if they are being a bit optimistic about (new) client needs right now.

Naturally, I fall into the recent BOD shake up as a positive - baby steps mind as the Watkins and Cowleys need pruning.

Yes, I saw that. Not sure whether we should read too much into it, or not. The commentary seemed slightly odd - 'short sabbatical' tends to imply a return of some sort at some point. But then why resign? Bound to be some who see this as a harbinger of doom, and others who dismiss as meaningless. Not sure which camp I fall into at the present.
