09/4/2020 15:37 | Reassessed the stock and it seems solid with cash generation up massively with a strong order book for this year. I also bought AA this morning luckily before it rallied. AA's results were strong and is a big customer for Trak8.This is a buy and stick in a draw stock which has not participated in the rally so far. | ch1ck
02/4/2020 18:11 | Just to add, I can see that Microlise also recently put out what I would describe as a 'we're doing our bit' statement that also provides a platform from which to shout about products / solutions capabilities. Besides haven't they just taken on a new sales marketing director. In my view it's about time trak polished the race car a little more often. | knowbodyyouno
02/4/2020 17:59 | dc2 post 4835 - Perhaps the key point is that the large array of insurers that trakm8 already serves will be very pleased that they chose trakm8 because of the ease of the self-installation devices, and whether it's now or in the future, prospective clients are going to consider that the self-installation devices a far more practical solution. As I said before, you can't not renew your car insurance. It's a no brainer at the moment to go to somebody like 'By Miles' for a telematics device when your car is just gathering dust outside your home. I'm glad they're drawing attention to their self-install devices, it's a massive competitive advantage in these circumstances. | michaelmouse
02/4/2020 15:37 | Another news item hxxps://www.trakm8.c Reads well but I do wonder if they are being a bit optimistic about (new) client needs right now. | dc2
31/3/2020 17:35 | Agree, it's positive re a shake up of the board, but would still be interested in the underlying reasons. | knowbodyyouno
31/3/2020 16:55 | Naturally, I fall into the recent BOD shake up as a positive - baby steps mind as the Watkins and Cowleys need pruning. | dc2
31/3/2020 16:33 | Yes, I saw that. Not sure whether we should read too much into it, or not. The commentary seemed slightly odd - 'short sabbatical' tends to imply a return of some sort at some point. But then why resign? Bound to be some who see this as a harbinger of doom, and others who dismiss as meaningless. Not sure which camp I fall into at the present. | knowbodyyouno
31/3/2020 16:05 | Sean Morris has resigned | dc2
30/3/2020 17:21 | Think the commentary might be getting overly negative. The second half of the year was much better. They have good recurring revenue and have taken a lot of cost out of the business. The AA are finally pushing smart breakdown. Working capital position should be much better now they have delivered the first large batch of units to AA. They are obviously going to have issues with new client wins whilst the country is in lockdown. It is a shame covid kicked off when it did. Things were actually starting to look much more positive than they had done for a very long time. Hopefully that momentum can pick up pace once things start getting back to some form of normality. | horndean eagle
30/3/2020 12:42 | At this spread you show an immediate 20 percent loss Crazy times | tonybaloni
30/3/2020 11:49 | Agreed, although I cannot see a positive future for anything at the moment. Personally, I am surprised to see Trakm8 rising on small volumes. | dc2
30/3/2020 11:46 | AA are providing a trading update tomorrow, so we may gain some limited insight into market conditions. | knowbodyyouno
27/3/2020 09:01 | Could that be because they don't like your name? | 10p here we come
27/3/2020 08:58 | Boo hoo. IG won't let anyone Short this dog. | 1 pound here we come
27/3/2020 08:23 | No, he's definitely been appointed to the BOD as a Exc Director. Yesterday's RNS is the second in a series of mandatory notifications. The website may be slower to catch up (particularly, if media relations boss - 'Karen' is working from home and juggling childcare and so on). Yes, given their earlier statements suggesting that the second half was where the weight is, I think most has been achieved in H2. I suspect we'll also get a more detailed trading update in April. | knowbodyyouno
27/3/2020 08:03 | I checked the board page here and this new guy isn't mentioned so possibly a director in job title only. hxxps://www.trakm8.c If they were making a 2m loss and this year they make a small profit then that's a massive turnaround. Especially if it's all been achieved in H2. We know there were cost savings of 800k - can't remember exact number - which makes the maths simple because then it's extra 1.2m in revenue or 100k per month over 12 months. But if that's just in H2 then it's more like an extra 200k per month. If it's been ramping up over H2 it could be more per month now which if continued all next year would see an extra 1m to 2m in profit by the year end. Hopefully this will be clearer once the results land. | trakm8fan
26/3/2020 14:07 | Post from the new BOD appointment: Keeping moving in a time of crisis hxxps://www.trakm8.c | knowbodyyouno
25/3/2020 10:38 | If you try to buy 50000 then the price is 14p and sell is 10.1p. | trakm8fan
25/3/2020 09:49 | Tried to buy some today (just as a test), Halifax would only allow me to get 1,000 (nothing larger) shares at 12.94p. Probably nothing but hopefully a meaningful sign. | dc2 |
