Looks like we got to March without a PW (historically issued in Feb) Thoughts on the potential impact of COVID-19, on Trak? Certain JFW could weave it into a not so good forward-looking statement.

2020 is when many Fleet telematics contracts expire, TRAK should do well to pick up some of those. But most importantly, show us they are still alive in the Insurance part of the Business. I think they're doing well in both and will finish the year in a small profit. Brexit getting sorted out has brought certainty back and this translates into contracts continuing or being unlocked after years of waiting. I remain optimistic for a return to 40p by summer, time will tell.

Again, nothing to get excited about, but the noise points towards a company that is no longer on the verge of collapse. Long way to go, but I'm beginning to think, April's update will be pretty much 'steady as she goes' (back to growth and profit). Presumably the 19p SP, reflects the view that the company is teetering on the edge of an abyss (and to some extent share issue dilution), so words (and much more importantly numbers) that suggest otherwise should send this north ...If they arrive and I concede, it's still an if.

More news (more like a sales release about the CV show). Obviously they are going to be "showcasing" the RH600 (again). hxxps://www.trakm8.com/news/trakm8-to-showcase-innovative-telematics-technology Interesting quote by Nickie "2019 was an exciting year for Trakm8, with a host of new product development and high-level contract wins; we can't wait to showcase our latest product updates at this year's show."

There is still a lot of growth to be had in fleet via cars.

In this podcast, Chris Boxall of AIM specialist Fundamental Asset Management interviews Andy Walters, founder and chief executive of Quartix. hxxps://www.investorschampion.com/channel/podcasts/more-than-money-andy-walters-and-chris-boxall " The podcast gives an interesting insight into a competitor.

The way I read the article is that these were deployed in 2019. So they'll be becoming profitable right about now. But like knowbodyyouknow said above, nothing to be excited about but in the right direction. The days of announcing 5000 device contracts are gone on Fleet, every major UK company has telematics and those who don't will never do. The game has now moved to Retail, either via Insurance or gadgets like Smart Breakdown. Nickie is slowly building up the Fleet base but not in any exciting rate, around 3-5% a year is good enough. Now we just need to see a 20% increase in Insurance & Automotive for this to start being profitable again. The AA alone can lead to a 50% increase in devices installed if they sell even 75k devices to their 3.3m members and I am not counting Insurance or B2B. So no news is good news in my book, another profit warning would be announce in February if it were to happen so if this month passes without news then it means we're on the clear more or less.

Blondy Come on! The cameras were sold through an integrator and from 2017. This could have been deployed over 3 years and who knows, this may have been the company where the devices needed to be revisited! Things like this need to be relevant - like timescale - that would build confidence in the camera solution that, if I am not mistaken, has not been deployed in any large number in 2019.

It's not true that resellers don't bring value. TRAK did nothing and got a contract out of nowhere without paying a dime. And not a small contract either. And at best margins are 30%, the old days are gone. It's very competitive now also for resellers. I wouldn't mind getting 70% of something I didn't spend any effort on. And it's not like TRAK can be picky right now. Some people here act like any news is bad news. 'TRAK sold some more products...boooo they suck' Get a grip.

It's all well and good to get excited about this but if you read the article you will see it's sold through a reseller. At least half the margin will be going to the re-seller :( No-ones getting rich on this contact

I think they'll be profitable again after all these years. But something like 0.2m or something. Still, AA president told me on Twitter Smart Breakdown ads coming soon. They'll do the reveal probably along with full year next month I guess.

Yes, she seems to be doing well. At the bottom of the article, it notes that Trak has over 250,000 units. Now it's possible this is from an old RNS, or it could be that the tally has increased recently. Can't wait for the April update to put us all our of our misery one way or another!

500 is not so small for cameras, these are expensive products at £20 a month. Nice one Nickie

Yeah and full of defects that had to withdraw all devices. I think they have a new midi dongle device which is cheaper and does more than the previous T-10, this is the one they sell to everyone, both Insurance and Fleet. If it doesn't have defects it will bring costs down and margins up is the idea. But from idea to execution with TRAK there's a huge chasm.

agreed, it is sales stuff and not RNS stuff. Just interested (aka, sick of the RH600 being the innovation of the year)

They are revealing 'all their exciting news' which I'm afraid is typical marketing waffle and doesn't actually mean there is anything a shareholder might find exciting.
