For what its worth, the Arrival van achieved EU certification this week. Hopefully this means that they will start production soon.

Where are the Accounts for these boys? Better get them out this week. Why do they announce a TU in Jan then leave it so long? Smacks of not caring about shareholders - or not having a good story to tell.

That's a good question. Celink website gives some info but I don't think they can match TWD'S ability to produce harnesses of any length. TWD's tech seems to have far wider usage (based on their webaite) compared to Celink's singular focus on cars and batteries.

It just needs one ground breaking RNS in the fields of oil & gas or aerospace for this to be bounce back. Worth going on the TWD website as it has some very useful info:

My take on this is that for some time the market has become completely unforgiving in any perceived short coming in growth stocks generally. Specifically TWD have announced a delay and raised additional funds diluting shares. This has been punished. Silence from the company does not help.

Unfortunately disruptive manufacturing technology is not like disruptive (move fast and break things) software. Incorporating new manufacturing processes into disruptive medical or aerospace products is always going to be painfully slow. The market has no time for this.

I added when the price dropped under 70p and will buy more again if the price falls below 60p.

Interesting to note the share price is now at a level below the previous Arrival announcement which means the stock market is essentially valuing that contract as being worthless or even loss making for TWD. Sad to note that no RNSs have been issued re IHT contracts in the aerospace / medical arena. Final results were released June 21, so will wait and see if there are any material updates but my gut instinct here is that TWD is worth a nibble at these prices.

400-600 vans might not seem very many but this would be a major success if they achieve that. Once they have a proved the concept in production they will be able to improve the process and roll it out to other micro factories.

From Arrival's 1st quarter results they say they expect to start van production in Q3 and build 400 - 600 vans this year.

"All robotic technology required for vehicle assembly has been installed in Bicester.

Using the technology cells in Bicester, Arrival has robotically assembled the entire van structure onto the skateboard including the cabin and cargo area.

Charlotte will begin equipment installation in late summer, on track for Q4 2022 SOP."

I can't believe TWD will not, in some way, benefit from the shortage of car harnesses in future albeit they have to be able to ramp up production for Arrival first. I wonder if they will move to an IP licensing model and will allow other harness makers to utilise their proprietary technology. That would be a game changer assuming they can protect the IP side of things.
