16/12/2021 14:27 | you don’t wake up one morning in December and decide to raise urgent heavily discounted cash pre Xmas. This was an error-a costly one for existing holders. BOD have had an almighty fright-they should take heed and shake things up as operational delays like this aren’t new-they tend to be slow burners and seem well in advance. | pinkfoot2
16/12/2021 12:24 | SIMPLY WALL STREET deemed TWD undervalued a few days ago when it was 145p. This to me is way oversold. In at 98p with 5K. | pensioner59
16/12/2021 12:10 | pinkfoot216 Dec '21 - 09:25 - 810 of 811 0 0 0 It’s a function of poor timing raising money at Xmas so you have to look at the BOD and their decision making. Factually incorrect. PANR just had a placing for $96m and it was waaaaaay oversubscribed. Don’t blame the bod either, if they need funds they have no alternative. | michaelsadvfn
16/12/2021 10:35 | Wow. On the plus side my holding isn't far to big anymore at this price! Got to look on the bright side even when there isn't one. I will be buying more for sure although disappointed at level of dilution, obviously, but pleased that they have actually been able to raise fund in current conditions. (Alternative would not leave us with anything) | ifaze
16/12/2021 09:25 | It’s a function of poor timing raising money at Xmas so you have to look at the BOD and their decision making.Nonetheless, this is a great opportunity in my view.Problem is the City knows how to punish when you need cash. I’m very bullish now-the BOD will be freshened and a new FD will be welcome | pinkfoot2
16/12/2021 09:18 | At such a huge discount to the closing price, it's clear that those approached to take part weren't overly confident with what they saw and insisted on a big discount. Otherwise the discount would have been much lower. And to think this went on my stop loss at £3 and I worried that it had been triggered prematurely. The BOD have a big credibility issue here after 2 hugely discounted issues and have their work cut out to regain trust. | 32campomar
16/12/2021 08:56 | With the 'FD' leaving next year & the Arrival revenues seemingly on track, I've taken a position at 89p. If they can hire a competent new CFO and Arrival scale's well then todays price is a steal. I still think the II's taking the price down to 80p should be ashamed of themselves though, this is a promising British business that it currently being let down by internal & external financing influences. | 74tom
16/12/2021 08:55 | Terrible. They had a great opportunity to raise much more earlier when us private investors asked for more shares at the last fund raising. The longterm still looks good though. Why don't they tell us what the order book for 2022 is ? | amt
16/12/2021 08:55 | Absolutely shocking. PI's hung out to dry. | 32campomar
16/12/2021 08:49 | I bought in the Placing-a lot. This is a great company which got caught by seeing things slip a bit-nothing more than that other than a poor decision to raise money at last minute.Very cheap at this level-very cheap | pinkfoot2
16/12/2021 08:27 | Bad price for the placing. Things slipped a bit and they were over a barrel I think. It's a great buying opportunity imo. Not a huge amount of dilution.Finncap out this morning with a new note. They are still forecasting FY22 revenue as £22m and EBITDA as 4.8m.They have the FY22 EV/EBITDA multiple as only 5.3. | mcfly79
16/12/2021 07:54 | Brutal. I still believe in the product, but they have managed funding abysmally. The only saving grace is that they have restricted the OO to existing shareholders that aren't involved in the placing or subscription. | longshanks
16/12/2021 07:38 | I thought they might raise again, but 80 pence per share, that is brutal and I certainly didn't see that coming. Oh well, better max out on the open offer then, but at 1 for 23. shareholders will probably need to go for a very big excess in order to avoid any dilution | timbo003
16/12/2021 07:30 | Wow, new placing @80p is 60% below the last placing @200p just over a year ago. Fortunately, no position but still just on my watchlist ! | masurenguy
16/12/2021 07:29 | Absolute shocker and shareholders shafted yet again. | adorling
16/12/2021 07:27 | I became negative on TWD early after its listing as wasn't impressed with CFO at all. Now do so a listing at such a discount and comment on the continued support lol - of course you'll get support at almost 50% discount! | hydrus
16/12/2021 07:14 | 80p! oh dear lord! | jimbo123elf
29/11/2021 13:45 | LI-Cycle collaborates with Arrival to advance EV Battery recycling. | viking24
26/11/2021 13:57 | Absolutely, I'm sure they would say that they were waiting for confirmation from Arrival as to the impact... needless to say they can only avoid updating the market about the outlook for so long. | 74tom
26/11/2021 09:42 | Regardless of the Arrival impact one would think the company is going to have to issue an update one way or another, either to confirm the Arrival impact or to provide reassurance that the share price fall is unwarranted. | gleach23
26/11/2021 09:22 | Shieldbug:- That is exactly why I said " technical sales force who really have great depth of knowledge of the technology. Its advatages both in terms of cost, perfomance, reliability and and the high level negotiating ability to get profitable contracts signed." OK I may have short cut the requirement to design the technology into the new product. Maybe because I have been too close to disruptive technology Ancestoral heritage included introducing electic motors to replace steam power - This required not only great technial skill in helping factories redesigin their logistical systems Also a man who introduced acetalene lighting to replace candles before the introduction of electricity or for houses which were still off the grid. . | pugugly
25/11/2021 20:51 | PugUgly - Its not a product that can be sold in that sense. TWD are contract manufacturers of a novel product that needs to be designed into other products. All of the companies they have indicated that they are working with are developing disruptive products. Philip Johnston has repeatedly said that their main competition is no change. Disruptive technologies are by definition more risky and this risk is to some extent transferred to TWD. But also by definition, the upside of disruptive technologies that become mainstream is massive. Volex also make interconnects, but I cannot see that they do anything that is novel. They are entirely focused on serving industry as it is today. So it would be appropriate for Volex to have a sales force selling their services. | shieldbug
25/11/2021 19:11 | Good crues. But do you faith in them to get new contracts? see PugUgly above. | petewy |
