that stated that was an approach made but it was rejected.

Hi All,
I contacted the Company by telephone re this issue and was given an email address to write to,which i did.I telephoned TPG again a few minutes ago and spoke to the same lady who had given me the email address,she informed me that she will contact the person responsible and they will respond in due course.I replied that in due course could be tomorrow,next week or next month.She has assured me that i will receive a reply soonest.

How has the discussion turned to "takeover", just because someone posted their concerns about takeovers relating to two hotels companies, Millenium and Copthorne.

I don’t believe the hype about a takeover, I think there is too much potential for growth and appetite from the directors. I am however concerned about what I have heard about breaking the company down from its current state, selling the parts on and repositioning themselves. This is a huge risk and although the potential gain is worthwhile, I would argue that shareholders are looking for steady growth now and not a gamble. As long as we don’t see parts of the business sold on then I will be happy, as per my previous posts, my understanding is that the fabrications part of the business will be sold, then the advanced manufacturing and then the rest of the engineering part including the submarine business. I hope it doesn’t happen and I have faith in the managers but there does seem to be some unrest at the moment with the loss of key staff.

Would a takeover be allowed considering the sensitive nature of some of the government contracts eg. polaris submarines ?

After a very positive trading update (imho) the share price needle has hardly moved and in fact moved back a tad this morning. I have a very strong belief in the company and have taken this opportunity to add again to my holding at a price of 6.6p, it has been a long term hold for me accumulating a decent holding now and I just have to be patient (as other PI's) to see the value unfold as I hope it will on the final results. The takeover post seems to have no substance that I can see ....I have found no evidence to substantiate it though of course I could be wrong. Even if a take over approach was to happen it would be at a rich premium to the share price given the collective asset value and cash held. The only negative of note was in the trading statement about how difficult the engineering market is at present yet with a preferred supplier status in place TPG is well positioned.

The only way anyone will give any credence to your t/o comment is to publish the letter/email that you mention.
Quotes from blokes down the pub don't cut it.

i will contact my friend today to ask him more,he told me that he actually was informed about this by letter/email.I am a bit concerned reading about Millenium and Copthorne (Epic code Mlc).Sometimes when this sort of situation occurs, the Board of Directors are bribed to take a lower offer for the company,they then get a lump sum and are offer a position in the new company.

CRA re-appeared on my watchlist this last couple of days. Caused me momentary pleasure as up to 11p from 5.75p in 2 days. Sadly realised that I am in TP group these days and the new CRA ticker belongs to another company!

Bit of a shck this morning. Saw share price opened +5pence then realised a new company called Cradle Arc floated today using the old Corac ticker!!

Bullster A (largely) positive outlook. Not happy with their misleading assessment that company is overvalued "based on earnings compared to the GB Machinery industry average" and "based on earnings compared to the GB market" - particularly when further up the page they make the comment "Sorry, no analysis for TP Group's competitors could be found in our database"
