Thanks.

Another exciting aspect of CQCL is the convergence of artificial intelligence and quantum computing:

"CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, May 15, 2019 —We provide an overview of Quantum AI and Machine Learning, the synthesis of AI and quantum computing. Whereas conventional Machine Learning is based on probabilities, its quantum counterpart replaces these with amplitudes resulting in a much more sophisticated decision-making. Potential applications include financial analysis, pharmaceutical design, and autonomous driving."

In view of the market enthusiasm for AI stocks, this won't harm CQCL's valuation at all.

One AI stock, Blue Prism (PRSM), has more than 20-bagged since it floated on AIM in 2016 at 78p, to its current share price of 1,790p (market cap. £1,371.5M.)

The company is currently valued at nearly twenty five its annual revenue of £55.2M., despite a pre-tax loss of £26M.

Earlier this year PRSM raised £100M. in a placing, which is a sign of investor enthusiasm for AI stocks:

24/01/2019 10:41 UK Regulatory (RNS & others) Blue Prism Group PLC Result of Placing
" ... The Placing was conducted by way of an accelerated bookbuild. The Bookbuilding Process has now closed and the Company is pleased to announce that a total of 9,090,910 Placing Shares have been conditionally placed by Investec with certain existing and new institutional investors at an issue price of 1,100 pence per share (the "Placing Price"), raising approximately GBP100.0 million (before expenses) for the Company. ..."

There's an interesting "ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE" thread on ADVFN for those interested:

Good to see you back Hedgehog, I did laugh when you said think of it as a pension. Some of us are already there. So perhaps it will be more like probate when we do get there LOL. Good luck to us all,

Totally respect that and wouldn’t want to compromise anything at all. Was just asking your opinion on whether you think they might possibly use the quantum technology within the GOS platform. I have thought this for a while now and was wondering if we were on the same page? I can see vast potential here.

Yes. GOS Systems have the European reseller distribution rights for three years from the date of launch.
And Ilyas Khan has large shareholdings in both CQCL and here.

But for commercial reasons they may wish to keep their cards close to their chests, so its probably best to respect that.

Thanks for that hedgehog. Do you not think though they would use theIronbridge technology within GOS to enhance its telecommunications offering, making it the network to use which could make GOS a very attractive company in its own right?

FB,

Some other ITS shareholders have also asked (by private messages) for my views relatively recently.

The first thing to note is that ITS sold just 17% of its holding in Cambridge Quantum Computing Ltd. (CQCL)in 2017, so we still retain the vast majority of out holding:

£33,997 (from cost) of disposals of "Other investments" in the year 1.1.17 - 31.1.17: from £200,008 cost, to leave £166,001 cost.

CQCL is one of the world's leading independent quantum computing companies:

In view of its progress, and the valuations being awarded in this sector, it could now be worth £100M.+.
Which could make ITS's stake currently worth millions.

Re. GOS Systems: it has stable recurring revenues, and is nearly breaking even. It could also currently be worth millions.

Such valuations though would obviously not be reflected in ITS's accounts.

ITS's debt is relatively modest, and by way of a 'soft' loan from Stanhill.

My view therefore is that the value of ITS could currently be at least about the value at delisting (about half a penny per share). And that value could increase over time.

But I'm not really anticipating any return of monies to us, or (re)listing of ITS/CQCL, for a few years.
(Albeit plans in business and investment can change rapidly, so that could potentially be sooner in the right circumstances.)

So probably the best way to view ITS is a bit like a pension, and put it under your proverbial mattress.
Not much is 'happening' with GOS Systems, so there's little for the company to report.
The main 'action' is with CQCL.
So shareholders who want more frequent news should keep an eye on CQCL's website, which has regular updates.

Hedgehog I have also noticed Cambridge Quantum have updated their website and their business is expanding rapidly. What relevance do you think the updates from CQC have to our holding in Intelicrypt?

Quantum computing is finally really taking off big time!

There's great progress in the technology, customers, and investment.

And furthermore, big companies are committed to creating a 'quantum infrastructure' involving many companies & applications, with is great news for Cambridge quantum Computing Ltd. (CQCL).

D-Wave Previews Next-Generation Quantum Computing Platform
... Increased Qubit Count: With more than 5000 qubits, the next-generation platform will more than double the qubit count of the existing D-Wave 2000Q™ system.
... “Quantum computing is only as valuable as the applications customers can run,” said Alan Baratz, chief product officer, D-Wave. “With the next-generation platform, we are making investments in things like connectivity and hybrid software and tools to allow customers to solve even more complex problems at greater scale, bringing new emerging quantum applications to life. Every decision we’ve made and every decision we’ll make will reflect an ongoing commitment to helping developers learn quantum systems and helping customers build the first commercial quantum killer applications.” …"

Note that D-Wave unveiled its 1,000 qubit quantum computing processor in June 2015, and its 5,000 qubit platform should outperform classical computers.

Two relatively recent CQCL Highlights:

1. Collaboration with Google.

"LONDON, United Kingdom, July 18, 2018 —Cambridge Quantum Computing (CQC) and Google are pleased to announce collaboration in quantum computing. As part of the collaboration, CQC will utilize the open source CIRQ framework developed by Google and the state-of-the- art 72-qubit “Bristlecone” quantum processor to develop software designed specifically for quantum computers. The potential of such technology is difficult to overstate, promising to revolutionize fields ranging from chemistry to finance, from encryption to AI.
... CQC CEO Ilyas Khan stated, “We are thrilled that Cambridge Quantum Computing is working with Google and look forward to building on this partnership”. ..."

2. Demonstration & imminent launch of quantum encryption product.

"CAMBRIDGE, United Kingdom, March 4, 2019 — Cambridge Quantum Computing (“CQC”), a leader in quantum computing technologies, will be demonstrating “IronBridge” – the world’s first commercially available certifiable Quantum Cryptographic Device – in booth # 1847C at this year’s RSA Conference in San Francisco.
Visitors to the CQC booth will be able to learn how and why IronBridge provides a fundamentally different approach to cyber security and why quantum technologies are not simply disruptive but entirely distinctive. Built around an innovative and ground-breaking single-purpose photonic 4-qubit quantum processor, IronBridge can generate keys that are not merely “secure” but are truly un-hackable. IronBridge thus provides absolute security in today’s most hostile environments as well as being post-quantum secure.
... IronBridge will be commercially available in limited quantities from mid-2019 with a full-scale launch by the end of 2019.
Visit CQC at booth #1847C, South Expo, RSA Conference, Moscone Center, San Francisco, March 4-7 to discover IronBridge and learn more about CQC. ..."

The unfortunate truth of it is AIM listed companies are generally set up by shady business people just looking to make their own bank balance a lot healthier.

Hard to know what is happening here as there is no communication of any value or interest to us PI's. And that is never a good sign.

The one thing that is so hard to comprehend is, that after the absolute disaster that was Touchstone Gold, Ik goes off and invests in yet another complete and utter DOG of a company and wipes out completely our monies invested without, apparently, a care in the world. In fact you could be forgiven in thinking that our investment was made on the Mogadishu or Kampala stock exchanges the way events have unfolded here and the way we are treated, not London, UK.

You simply couldn't make it up!
