28/7/2006 10:05 | thinkBIG? - 27 Jul'06 - 09:48 - 680 of 704 TBF Sorry about your loss in Langbar, all i will say is buy TOU and hold for 6 months and you will get some of your money back. Never been so sure on a share like this lets just say, some times you are in the right place at the right time and it can make you big money. Buy in and you will be well rewarded later on in the year Thanks for your comments. I do own 100K touch but unfortunately it needs to make up a bit of ground before I will be showing anything like a profit! | the big fella

28/7/2006 08:38 | Britsh Bulls certainly has the same opinion as tBig. Touch Group PLC Daily Commentary Our system posted a HOLD today. The previous BUY recommendation was made on 10.07.2006 (17) days ago, when the stock price was 5.2500. Since then TOU has gained 9.52% . Our advice today is simple and clear. Hold your stocks and wait for a new signal. Do not bother yourself with further buying and selling as long as the HOLD tag stays. HOLD 5.7500 +0.1200 +2.13% Candlestick Analysis Today's Candlestick Patterns: Short White Candlestick Today a Short White Candlestick was formed. This represents relatively weak buying pressure with little price movement. For more about this candlestick click here. 27/7/2006 11:00 | If you look at Yell.com, there doesn't seem to be any permanent hike. Does anyone know roughly when all the Yell.com adverts started to appear ? Perhaps they are having very little effect ? | yump
27/7/2006 10:59 | It will be very interesting to see how the online directory area develops - not easy to predict. imo to value Touch Local there needs to be some discussion of how that market is likely to develop. Consolidation is the obvious path. Thomson + Touch could put a dent in Yell. While they are all in existence, its just confusing online for searchers. Yell are putting great efforts into trying to establish their online brand via TV advertising. It would be interesting to see how their ads. have affected their visitor numbers online. I wonder if the public will value an online directory 'brand'. Most people have a search engine as their home page and that's where they put in their search, even if its local. So establishing an online brand imo depends more on establishing search engine positions for the directory pages than branding. | yump
27/7/2006 10:51 | Thought it might be worth revisiting this - quite puzzled by it: "...Tractrade bought 50 pct of the revenue of online publisher Touch Verticals for 450,000 stg in cash. When or if the total aggregate monthly revenue received by Tractrade exceeds 450,000 stg, the 50 pct revenue share decreases to 5 pct." So if Verticals produces £900,000 a month, £450,000 will go to Tractrade. No time limit. When Verticals produces over £900,000 a month it will keep 95% of it. So if Verticals grows slowly and sticks below £900,000 a month, it will have a constant 50% drain, but if it grows quickly above £900,000 a month there will be a point where its reported revenue jumps drastically. Interesting. Who is that a good deal for and how are they in a position to influence the rate at which Verticals grows ? | yump
27/7/2006 10:26 | Well then, to back up my views on valuation of the parts. How would you all value a site that has similar traffic to Thoson Local? Long term I think Local & Briefings will be split to raise cash. Two listings or sold, we have two valuable assets here, grossly undervalued by the market. | haydock |
