Posted at 16/11/2010 12:05 by ashbox This is a great share to hold during market turmoil and down-days on the FTSE. Whilst all else is a sea of red, reliable old TOU holds firm and refuses to budge :-)just a shame it's down 77% on my original investment :-( |
Posted at 11/2/2010 13:05 by ashbox Not a positive development...... |

Posted at 24/12/2008 13:03 by ashbox A merry Xmas from Mr Isaacs to his team:'The Company has been notified that on 23rd December Vincent Isaacs, Executive Chairman, gifted 2,605,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company (*Ordinary Shares*) to a number of individuals including certain directors of the Company.' Hopefully the portfolio (pharmacutical / medical element) will afford TOU a level of protection against a prospectively awful global economy in 2009. I may top-up after the final results are published if things look promising as I need to average down! |
Posted at 29/10/2008 08:13 by ashbox Another top-up by Mr. Isaacs of over a million shares at a significant premium to yesterdays price. He obviously still believes in TOU - wonder if he will ever take the Company private as it is basically his money that is keeping it going? |
Posted at 12/11/2007 15:29 by haydock Whilst revealing the strength of the hand tou had, & realisising much needed cash, it's spent already for an upgrade , they may not have been able to afford. However it's s firesale, the price is £950.000 below book value. On the other hand Touch Local may be yesterdays story in a big way & a spent force. Perhaps not a bad days work after all. MDZ looks the stronger brand, & they still have a 25% holding there. Based on the strngth of the orders in at the end of the last quarter, it's a better year. That was what all the buying was about then!!! |
Posted at 10/7/2007 09:54 by haydock Date: Monday 10 Jul 2006LONDON (ShareCast) - Media marketing services group Touch announced today that the restructuring of the business is beginning to pay dividends in its publishing division. Touch said its publishing arm, Touch Briefings, has achieved a 25% increase in sales revenues to £2.8m in the first six months of the year. The group said Touch Briefings has undergone a major restructuring that has seen significant enhancements to its international publications and as such it now boasts a client base of international companies. Chief executive Tamer Ozmen said, "Over the past 18 months the group has invested considerable effort in realigning and restructuring both divisions and I am very pleased to see the benefits of this, firstly in the publishing division and I look forward to this now being closely followed by the online division." Finally we have the kind of news flow we always wanted from TOU. Favourable, but not profitable, for certain of course. We cannot compare full group figures as far as I can see, but its onward & upward at least. Sounds as if the Verticles have not taken off, thats why they were trimmed. MDZ share price is tanking, just when they seemed to be growing. Maybe TOU will pick up the pieces if it bombs? |
