Strangely quiet here these past few weeks. Where is everyone. There has been very little selling and practically no buys until today.

Today's buying seems odd to me. Like some are expecting news or know there will be positive news.

We will see, soon I hope 'cos this is Oh so borrrrrrrrrring. DF

The inability to secure a drilling permit in a timely manner would be an example of risk arising out of a lack of resource. No RNS this morning.

Ere Mixi, your sweetheart CEO Stuart 'Fatboy' Bromley has been ranting at a shareholder trying to find out what has happened to his hard earned CICC/CICG cash after 7 years of suspension. It looks as if Fatboy is saying that it has gone - in a roundabout way.

All that glisters is gold eh Mixi. Anyway as a special treat, here is the correct version:

All that glisters is not gold—
Often have you heard that told.
Many a man his life hath sold
But my outside to behold.
Gilded tombs do worms enfold.
Had you been as wise as bold,
Young in limbs, in judgment old,
Your answer had not been inscrolled
Fare you well. Your suit is cold—

— William Shakespeare, Merchant of Venice, Act II Scene 7

Lopo, there was no mention of drilling of the deeper crude until November, or the crude oil itself. Carpe diem as I have said before but it is a massive risk for a company with such limited resources to make a radical change to its strategy.

Just a possibility that the licences sit in this tray.

Has the plan changed? If so may not be bad news!

lopo, when TOM shifted their strategy to incorporate the deep oil on TSH, it was to prime the cash pumps. Cash is critical to TOM.

The first thing on the checklist to generate cash would have been permits. It is bizarre that they should not have the permits now - there could be other reasons but clearly JP did not understand them back in Nov when he stated that the drills would be turning in Dec.

Not the sort of confidence boost that you want.

Good point Shaunx, with Valkor involved in both. However, if that is the reason for the delay just report it, it is not price sensitive.

Its a shame TOM had not invested in PQE as this would have paid for the land purchase

Would it be deemed a conflict of interest if the current PQE management were to invest in Tomco post PQE takeover. I wonder if there is some alignment in the background.

Why do you think there is an issue with the permits? Surely could be 101 reasons for the apparent delay - not all bad!

There is obviously some issue regarding obtaining the permits to drill. I hope
they resolve this soon.

Oil price rising....

That will add stress to the petty cash expenses then.

Mixi no they have not reverted back to ignoring shareholders, they have one employee who has his work cut out.

This is high risk and you just do not get it.
