WTI now $84.88. BoD seem to have reverted back to ignoring share-holders.

Could it be that TOM is in talks with V - and perhaps explain the silence. Whatever next? Investors need some excitement after this long haul!

But TOM may have alternative route should the drilling not be feasible. The lack of communication is going to test even TOM's shareholders and the market may look at this in despair ie not another blind alley.

lopo, if the drilling does not happen, they are simply not going to raise the cash. The last party that will be concerned about that will be Viston. Why have an uninhibited licencee in North America?

Maybe JP was over ambitious with the drilling plan and he has come to realise that it is one step too far.
Maybe He can NOW see the challenges that lie before TOM and the financial commitments it has to manage over the next months.
If the original plan is to be side stepped, TOM will need some very fancy footwork to keep apace with expectations and avoid let downs.

Vauch probably cynical observers might be a better description.

Perhaps you can answer why a bureaucratic procedure takes 8 weeks? It is the key objective of the business at the moment - we are lead to believe that it is the get out of jail free card. Why 8 weeks?

It must be about 8 weeks since lalaland descended on to this site and told us how wrong we were.

Well that was 8 weeks ago and the lack of an RNS just begs the question 'why?' on such a simple issue. Things are looking a little edgy at the moment on the other thread and the more exposed investors will have not have missed the point.

"Share price up on narrative , down without narrative - counts for nothing only a tangible business would change it."

Repeat from last week - but it panned out just as the post said.......

JP could be having second thoughts about the funding model feasibility in which case the Board will have to resort to the alternative. Investors could learn more about this sooner than later.

I suppose the higher the oil price the better the chance of funding.

Damar,
Your are quite right.

Funding or production update will be the share price catalyst; it could come in a few weeks time or a few months time.
But until it comes the share price shouldn’t go down but rather stagnate.

Vauch afternoon. If the lala thread is the thesis this side is the antithesis. I think that you will agree that prespective always helps judgement.

As an aside I have seen your commitment to the company and if you get it right I am sure that this side will respect your judgement (as will your bank balance), but I would certainly be keeping some dry powder until there is more substance to the TOM narrative. Narrative is substantially easier than delivery.

Posted by Swizz on one of the PVR forums.

“Oil surged more than 50% to around $80 a barrel. It’s almost up another 10% so far this year. King said it could soon hit $100 and even $200 over the next five years due to a lack of exploration and investment to maintain existing supplies.”

“We believe in structural supply-side commodity inflation that most will not have ever seen -- the highest since the 1970s,” he said in an interview. “Only OPEC will react to price metrics and they are undershooting every month.”
