Fenners
Both Groat and Castro are chartered accountants, one has to make the reasonable assumption that each is zealous to keep his qualification and not find himself in front of disciplinary committee.
One must therefore believe that they both are watching this situation aind will not allow matters to lead to failure. JP seems to be handling much if not all the day today negotiation in person. Hopefully there are some basic controls in place to ensure that all JP's decisions are closely monitored.
If TOM does fail again, their heads will be on the block and their reputations in shreds. They have a great deal to lose and could face serious allegations .....

It's 'too stupid' not 'to stupid'. You'll miss the irony I'm sure.

Fenners, we are done. Your mornings work unveiling that in 2014 PQE (not tom) accounts wrote off $1.9m and also not being prepared to understand the value of the lease we are after, as a reason to bash Tomco is a step too far for me. I can't communicate on your level. Ignored.

JEEZ, Look who turns up now, ace ventura11, the chap who constantly deletes all of his history each time he makes a complete fool of himself.

check out his history post folks, just click on his name, view posts and go back a few pages. All deleted, what a complete clown this guy is.

This thread clearly attracts a similar type. PATHETIC.

These boards are littered with odd characters, he's right up there!Nobody reads all those pointless, regurgitated, historical, mainly unrelated (or very loosely) posts. I've a feeling his research has lead him to not wanting to buy.

Stuart I thought most had been already invested , long before the Greenfield land deal ever was mooted....

In since 1350 a share even ?

No one ever questioned the board on the cost per acre of the land so why worry if Petroteq previously gave up on Tar Sand Asphalt Ridge...

I mean they only own the tech.....

Come on hands up! Who didn't read this MCW ENERGY GROUP LIMITEDNotes to the Consolidated Financial Statements August 31, 2016 and 2015And the subsequent 6 years Petroteq accounts, including the change of use permit- to the now correct mining one-before buying your Tomco shares? Get to the back of the room with your dunce hat on. Total irrelevance

Now back to real issues

is there any land around Asphalt Ridge that got sold for anything in the same ball park as $24,000 an acre....?

Petroteq clearly gave up trying to make Tar Sands work in 2014-15

Been at it for now 11 years but only with some help from TOM paying for Valkor to do some work.

Valkor want out of the 50/50 joint venture and are speculated to be the 3rd party that see the land as a drilling opportunity.

Which co-incidently seems to be the conclusion for Asphalt Ridge that Petroteq came to 6 years ago.

Meanwhile TOM has burned through £20m on two other ideas which no longer get a mention.

There are other listed companies that move from one project to another constantly moving goalposts... they raise funds , start a project , lose money and repeat.
They have zealous supporters who do not like alternative views and above all they don't make any money over decades....

Is this another ?

Apologies to everyone else with regards to my use of profanity in my previous post. Sometimes things just need to be said.

I too was a little underwhelmed, and just a bit confused about the last RNS. I'm now aware that John knew the commercially sensitive negotiations with the 3rd party would not be concluded by end of September and, with the already quoted deadline for the land deal looming, an RNS lacking detail was issued. Clearly the short term market is critical of such things.

Obviously this opportunity for funds from other sources should be explored, especially if they can provide near term funds to get the project to another level and avoid further dilution.

As has been mentioned on here the land deal could have easily been concluded via a placing, the brokers would have placed £2m in a few hours at the 'right' price. This was never the Boards intention, regardless of what might have been said on here.

If these deeper zones can fund the land deal and hopefully some future working capital, while the main project is progressed, then I think we could be on the cusp of transformational news.

I am happy to wait the few weeks to hear further details on the deal for the deep play and hopefully finally confirmation of the 10% deposit payment...
