The winners so far have been directors. When will investors get a look in?

You have strong views
But have you any answers?
Why did they get into the option agreement?
Why was it 3 months resulting in a further purchase, BEFORE the due diligence was completed?
Why are they saying (allegedly ) that the finance will not be sorted before the year end?
What will they do at the end of the month ?

If you cannot separate your emotion from relevant commercial questions , you cannot be objective.
Without objectivity you are gambling not investing.
Sure gamblers can win.
I believe investors win more than gamblers....

No reichsmart it is relevant; very relevant. One suspects that a further four weeks will be 'bought' but that will only beg more questions.

The non-execs may be wondering how on earth TOM got into the option payments situation in the first place. Someone may have taken their eye off the ball distracted by the glitter of tar sands.
TOM must by now be down on its cash resources per se without the headache of two large deals ahead. So far PLACINGS have not been announced. Best exit route may be to cancel land deal and suffer the financial indignity; perhaps suggesting a more beneficial land area has been identified and is to be investigated. Investors here are accustomed to about turns. Without sound financial arrangements being evidenced and in place, optimism will drift away. Can a small company undertake what are massive projects without a strong partner holding its hand?

Without finance in place , will the non-execs or nomad allow spending of $1.7m with no guarantee of the rest of the deal happening?

Whatever the bravado surrounding the end of month deadline, the report from the AGM was the finance deal would not likely be done before the end of the year (if at all?).

So do the BOD/nomad allow any more spend without guarantees?

If a finance deal does not materialise and they spend all the cash , whilst stating that the 3 month option (now 4 months) was only to allow the completion of due diligence , surely they cannot sanction spending the cash without the conclusion ?

Otherwise they may as well have spent the cash without the option fee , or at least without paying a further $100k.

Should they spend their remaining cash and financing fail they would leave themselves open to more than a little criticism.

Following that line.... it leaves them paying out $100k a month until the end of the year (?)

If I was the landowner , who did not call time after the initial option expired , knowing this - hey its easy to find the details - maybe that's why they extended.

Extend to end of OCT , maybe NOV and pull the plug.

That could be $500k for absolutely nothing....

Once again , I ask , why get themselves locked into this payment for options in the first place ?

Clearly management Failed to understand how long an option they needed in the first place. We know this because they Have extended.

Second the timeline now looks as if it could be until end Dec.

Third since its burning money getting nowhere , they may risk paying for the land without any finance deal. Given that they will have not achieved it in 4 months at that stage - surely that is just too big a gamble - with the company's money?
