29/7/2021 19:01 | Yes Ducky, yes you are. (Joking :-) )Are you coming to AGM? Late august/Early September I reckon. They'll need to give notice very soon. | ![]() stuart little

29/7/2021 18:44 | What if they plant they intend to build would be capable of producing 10,0000 bopd (if run at full throttle, 24/7, 365 days a year) but to maximise plant lifetime and minimise required maintenance downtime they only run it at 50% of capacity i.e. 5,000 bopd? | ![]() damac
29/7/2021 18:36 | I agree to some extent, as does the market, that the FEED details were at best sketchy, at worst questionable - which is what we didn't need. It was long waited and I,and I'm sure others, would have liked more detail. That said the FEED was never going to my trigger to sell so I am still content to watch this continue to proceed towards its final goal. The AGM will give my chance to put forward my thoughts. | ![]() stuart little

29/7/2021 16:28 | damac "had ageing parts and had been badly maintained. As such, Greenfield only managed to achieve 180 barrels per 12 hour shift." "if they ever did start running it again it wouldn’t be long before it is breaking down due to their previous poor maintenance of it. In my opinion," Some common sense there. So how come Kahuna think they could get away with running a plant 24/7 360 days a year , allowing for presumably Xmas , Thanksgiving etc in the spare 5 days ? A plant running with Sand and solvent in it and no maintenance ? Garbage and no lender is going to buy that. Question is why make such an unnecessary claim ? If it ran 320 days a year it would be successful.... or do we question everything? | ![]() fenners66

29/7/2021 15:34 | Talais, Greenfield had hoped, with the modifications they had made to the existing plant & process, to achieve 250 barrels per 12 hour shift ergo 500 barrels per day. The plant that they took on from Petroteq had ageing parts and had been badly maintained. As such, Greenfield only managed to achieve 180 barrels per 12 hour shift. However, despite not achieving their desired number of barrels produced, the third party verification company (Kahuna) are satisfied that the improvements made by Greenfield to the process will result in a 5000 bopd plant being achievable when scaled up. Their satisfaction on this point is all that matters, it doesn’t matter that Greenfield only achieved 180 barrels per 12 hours. The third party verification is what is required by the potential lenders. As mentioned above, POSP is currently sitting idle and in my opinion will not start up again in its current form nor on its current site. Petroteq have no license to operate and they are struggling to find suitable ore on their current site. Even if they ever did start running it again it wouldn’t be long before it is breaking down due to their previous poor maintenance of it. In my opinion, If Petroteq are to operate CORT again it will have to be with a brand new, modern plant on another lease with suitable resources. | ![]() damac
29/7/2021 14:39 | We were only ever going to short term keyholders. It belongs to pqe but they didn't have the knowhow or funds to get it working. I still don't think they do but not our problem now. | ![]() stuart little
29/7/2021 14:34 | Thanks for clearing that up. | ![]() talais
29/7/2021 14:33 | I was just reading rns,s If you read below it states on a 12hour test the posp production was 180bopd, So a 24hour production 360bopdOil revenue about 9mil a yearSand revenue 1.2mil per year less royalties ETCThey would not just let this plant go to waste and with a few adjustments they could get to 500bopdPOSP OperationsThe primary objective for TomCo's investment into Greenfield and its subsequent operation of the POSP was to provide the operational data to support and inform the FEED for the commercial scale 10,000 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") plant design. The POSP has broadly met our objectives over the six month of operations to the extent that the oil processed and produced has exceeded expectations in both warm and cold conditions from a wide array of saturated ores. In addition, the separation process has also identified a profitable sand product. Greenfield had set a target of achieving a continuous production rate of 250 bopd per 12-hour shift. Due to numerous technical constraints, the POSP only managed to achieve the equivalent of approximately 180 bopd during this trial period of operation. However, the operational data from such production has been incorporated into the process modelling performed by Valkor and verified by a third-party engineering company with the results and recommendations being incorporated into the FEED study and economics. Additionally, ore processed by the POSP from the Tar Sands II site, which is subject to the membership interest purchase agreement announced on 9 June 2021, has identified that it is of significantly higher oil saturation than originally thought. | ![]() talais
29/7/2021 14:31 | The POSP is not connected to TS2, nor greenfield going forward. Can't be more clear than that. It's served it's purpose as a trial plant for Greenfields FEED, verification and to show potential lenders the process. Hope that clears it up. | ![]() stuart little

29/7/2021 14:29 | We have nothing to do with the POSP now. Zilch. We switched it off, threw the keys back and walked away. It's PQE's to do with what they want now. They need to sort the permit out first though. | ![]() stuart little
29/7/2021 14:22 | With all the overheads is it worth it for 500 barrels a day. Good question though. Damac and SL would know. | ![]() ducky fuzz

29/7/2021 13:03 | What percentage of oil is tomco getting from this at the moment??Commenting, John Potter, CEO of TomCo, said : "I am delighted that Greenfield has secured the right to acquire, via TSHII, a suitable site for the potential construction, subject to funding, of its first commercial scale plant. The Site has the key attributes that our JV has been seeking and Greenfield will shortly be commencing detailed due diligence, whilst simultaneously progressing discussions with potential funders. In the meantime the POSP continues to produce saleable oil and sand and we look forward to providing further updates in due course as matters progress." | ![]() talais
