The issue is, as has been said many times, the JV arrangement is wholly unfavourable for TOM. IT was badly arranged by TOM and SB should be and is no doubt laughing all the way. STUPID BRITS. All the directors know it and what can they say or do!
Investors have failed to see the obvious!

Sitting watching this unfold and like many others I can't help feeling that Tom are going to get totally screwed. If this was going to be good for Tom then why is the share price not well north of 1p at the moment? Really do hope I'm wrong but been here before and it's never turned out well. Maybe, just maybe, this time......

AJJ if Total took over Petroteq and therefore owned the IP and upgraded processes , why would it bankroll greenfield ...it would get on buying its own leases and building it's own plants

Anyway it's all speculation till we see what happens early July

I don’t think it would be 50/50 but even if Tom ended up with 10 or 20% it would be massive for Tom.

But there are billions of barrels in Utah oil sands so even if they were to remain independent and build their own plants it would be massive. They have a licence.

Valkor taking over Petroteq would worry me !

Valkor would then own the rights to the IP and all the process developments , that , according to that Nov RNS , belong to Petroteq , they could use Petroteq's Canadian listing

Why would Valkor need / continue with Greenfield

What non performance clauses are there in the JV with Tom , would they be good enough to force the continuance of the JV ? If you were Valkor would you be buying leases and building plants via Greenfield or on your own ???

Why share anything 50: 50 ...for a London Listing ...I don't think so

I'm hoping the takeover is nothing to do with Valkor and that Greenfield's contracts with Petroteq and any subsequent acquirer for the licences / IP are water tight

If ...and it's still an if ...if Petroteq is taken over

Really strange that the percentage of the major four holders (assuming Valkor now have 20% not 14.5%) equates to 43% of the company, virtually the same percentage as the third party are trying to entice (200000/465000). One hell of a coincidence.

Would a major third party, such as Total for example, be a better option to take over Petroteq and bank roll the building of the plants from a Greenfield perspective?

Well Petroteq certainly getting good vibes out there. Let’s see what our bod come up with in the next update, some long overdue positivity would be nice, but will they do it???? Fingers crossed that finally they issue a good solid positive update.
