Now who would be buying over 1% of the total shares in issue? Could it be the same people who are after Petroteq? Total speculation of course but it could be.

We have joint IP rights on all the upgrades developed under Greenfield ie the final plant development will be partly licensed by Tomco.

Thanks Damac

Just to be clear I'm a LTH who needs the tomco share price to be a lot higher than it is right now

However ... With time on my hands I'm just mulling things over

And this is all driven by the what if it's Valkor taking out Petroteq rumour ...which I hope isn't true

If Valkor took over Petroteq and already had tar sands leases ...why would it need Greenfield , what does Tom bring to the party

Why would Valkor use its own engineers and specialists to develop the plant , with all future developments to the IP belonging to greenfield ??

Why wouldn't they just go it alone

What role does Tom play in this , apart from assuming 50% of any debt finance or enabling an RTO

I just don't get it

Again all your comments would be welcome ...or maybe we should just wait to see who is the Petroteq predator

We are locked in tight to any developments here with IP rights, should it be a Valkor development on their own leases, a takeover of PQE using our plant upgrade tech or better still joint Greenfield project(S)

From the 30th June 2020 Interim Results RNS.....

“Under the JV Agreement, Valkor has granted a licence to Greenfield, for the use on all future plants that are majority owned and operated by Greenfield in Utah, to its existing Intellectual Property ("IP") and knowhow for the processing of oil sands into heavy fuel oil. All modifications and improvements to the IP developed by Greenfield, including in relation to the upgrade of the POSP, will belong to Greenfield, which the Board of TomCo believes will allow Greenfield to develop its own oil sands plant, subject, inter alia, to identifying a suitable location. Greenfield will seek to identify and secure suitable locations in Utah for a commercial scale (up to 10,000 barrels of oil per day ("bopd") ) oil sands plant.”

I think you will find QFI is stll needed for the project.I am sure MSAR is a crucial part of the project.

Part of the Valkor/ Greenfield strategy is to use the MSAR process to create the fuel to power the CORT process on their site in lieu of trucking/ piping in gas/ diesel, which is key to reducing the production costs. The MSAR product also allows them to bypass the shipping of a bitumen product to a refiner and instead they can sell and ship low suphur MSAR direct to end users. This adds to the value chain.

Personally I don't think it is Valkor

Obviously this is all just musing

But surely the last thing Tom wants is for Valkor to be behind the Petroteq takeout , if it happens

If Valkor owned Petroteq where would that leave Greenfield and Tom

Personally as a LTH of Tom the last thing I want is Valkor to take out Petroteq

Or am I missing something ?

Another reason why SB may be an interested party behind the bid for Petroteq shares.

Which brings me back to my questions ref the stalker of Petroteq , and the fact that Valkor have been buying leases ...whereas as yet we have no news ref Greenfield buying leases

The purchaser of petroteq will be in just as good a position as Greenfield with regards to the technology

16/11/2020 RNS

"The License will allow Greenfield to use Petroteq's oil sands technology, which includes Petroteq's processes for the recovery of oil from oil sands, patents, other intellectual property and know-how, in any future oil sands plants built by Greenfield in the United States. The License also clarifies the ownership of any intellectual property developed as a result of the POSP upgrade and associated trials or otherwise developed by Greenfield in the future. Any such intellectual property will be the property of Petroteq and pursuant to the License, Petroteq will grant Greenfield the ability to utilise such intellectual property, together with any additional intellectual property developed by Petroteq, in accordance with the terms of the License."

The web page does say this

The upgrade work that is to be carried out by Valkor at the test site will result in a new configuration.

Which indicates it will be a new process / configuration

Will we be able to patent it

Hi Rmart ...I'm getting less lazy and looking back ...this is from the tomco energy website
So Valkor has a licence to use the Petroteq seperation process in the USA and greenfield is working to improve the process

Where does it make it clear who " owns" the new improved process ?

THE GREENFIELD ENERGY PROJECT
In June 2020 TomCo established a joint venture company, Greenfield Energy, with Valkor, a global engineering procurement construction and installation specialist, to work on the development of a new process for oil sands separation.

Valkor will bring expertise from its experience working with Petroteq Energy, an oil sands specialist also based in Utah, which uses its own proprietary separation process. Valkor holds a licence to use the Petroteq process within the USA. Under the Greenfield JV TomCo and Valkor will apply this technology to establish a 10,000 bpd production facility once the technology has been fully validated and a suitable location for oil sands extraction has been identified.

The main method for separating oil from oil sands involves using large gravity separation tanks to produce diluted bitumen, which can then be sent for refining. Issues with this method of separation include 1) large capex requirement, 2) very large requirement for water, 3) dirty (oiled) sand to be disposed of, and 4) bitumen output that contains high levels of sulphur.

The Greenfield project aims to use an innovative separation technology that gets around some of the problems with the “traditional” process.

Greenfield own the tech. Or at least the the half to the upgrades which is the most important thing.

So QFI out of the picture , someone stalking Petroteq ... Some suggesting could be Valkor

Where would that leave Greenfield and therefore Tom ?

Valkor would own the technology

Just musing

Anyone any thoughts on all this and my post 19240

We need news and an update on the Petroteq stalker

Somebody care to do a brief explanation / update about how the money is going to roll in

Valkor been busy buying up leases

Tom ?? From memory our leases aren't tar sands

Greenfield ? We're awaiting news on lease purchases

Greenfield has the relevant licences to use the new technology and will build and operate plants on their leases and presumably other people's at a price

Sorry being lazy but could help buyers
