Same thing in early adoption share buying .. nothing is ever guaranteed ...... high risk high rewarded is why people invest in small cap.. if not they’d be in the proper market getting dividends at 1-7% with small or no growth in share value

A lot of People whom invest on the AIM and are like, are likely to have very short-term views and there for it is more of a gamble/ punt than an well researched investor who will be more long-term and therefore more of an investment than a gamble.

“ Makes this project a decent punt for the gambling man.”

Finally we agree on something. A gamble; not an investment.

The road ahead is unclear for most.....but here there is a need for new cleaner power supply, demand for power and the natural resources available to for fill some of these needs is available with a final push to obtain finance. Makes this project a decent punt for the gambling man..

Now the US Presidential election is near a result (not over), covid concerns will resurface and the resultant economic consequence - massive market volatility ahead for rest of this year.

Anyone keen to buy will get their chance, here and elsewhere imo.

Pretty sure anybody that bought in for first time in recent weeks has already exited with their profit. Long termers are all underwater.

You mention PPA, fiancé and water levels.
PPA for what? The interim 2MW isn’t a ‘proper’ PPA in the true sense of PPA. What has become of the potential PPAs resulting from the original 100mw tender I wonder?

Financing - dependent on a real PPA so I don’t see financing coming any time soon as the PPA doesn’t look like coming any time soon (ie not this year).

Water levels - this isn’t being talked about much. With no talk of PPA and financing it wouldn’t surprise me if wells are closed in and no/little attempt being made to dewater. Just my guy feel - from years of observing the ‘mood music’ emanating here - if they don’t talk about it, it ain’t happening.

Not if they brought in 6 weeks ago ... they’d be sitting on a very healthy profit.... but of course lth are underwater ...let’s hope the recovery is maintained PPA signed, finance is achieved and water level reduced enough for commercial flows...here’s hoping 😉

Well there’s nothing I can do about delays or the way the country uses its hard earned taxes. That’s why I am not trying to do this project myself. I have invested my cash and leave the rest to Mr G to pick his way through the problem... I think it’s much better that way .. than all your pointless mud slinging and negative media searching.. But whatever rocks your boat I guess... you probably work as carer in an old people’s home and get stimulation from trying to prove that Tlou are failing, why they are failing and it’s all super TG fault..

Wouldn’t read too much into - issuing a tender in early 2017; receiving submissions in October (after 2 extensions); cancelling tender in February 2018; reissuing same tender in May 2018; awarding Preferred Bidder status to both tender invitees in May 2019; issuing several press releases that Govt and Ministry continue to be supportive of the actual tender over next 15 months - and still negotiations on the PPA for the tender have yet to commence....

I suppose the last 8 months can be blamed on covid - what about the previous 24 months?

Would you care to estimate the cost to Tlou shareholders of not reading too much into things?

And bear in mind, Govt continue to openly say they waste a large amount of national budget paying to import electricity from SA (and Moz and Namibia).

Begs the question surely about the side deal re BPC paying whoever in SA for the power...

Same goes for Orapa 90MW only ever running on imported diesel .....

Be really cool if any Tlou posters actually had half a clue about reality of reason behind all these delays !!

Wouldn’t read to much into that they seem to have scatter cash approach to offering tenders then freeze when it comes to the finance side.

The 10MW is the CBM 10MW already referenced in the IRP 2020. Saying the tender for the 10MW will be floated next year is a real worry - both Tlou and Kalahari have been chasing the 100mw tender since early 2017.

How can the 100mw tender simply keep be kicked about like this - it’s like left hand ignores right hand.

“Tenders will be floated at the beginning of next year for the construction of a 200 MW solar power plant, which would be completed by 2026, he said, adding that a further construction of a 10 MW coal-fired power station will be launched during the same year and will be completed in 2025.

That’s coal fired not gas ... but don’t think that’s viable either...think it’s a badly research article .. not worth the laptop is typed on
