With Masisi speaking at Mining Indaba on Wednesday, this week puts Botswana in the spotlight. Hopefully for lots of good reasons.

Best we can hope for is Tlou get a mention - highly unlikely, but god-smackingly good if they did. More likely is that Masisi will reference gas industry opportunities opening in Bots ahead.

Hopefully SIK doesn’t act like the petulant child he is by somehow drawing attention to himself on Monday or Tuesday, just to try undermine the public platform Masisi has on Wednesday.

We were always in for 10Mw , the 2Mw was and is a temporary agreement, Donk.

And if Sekaname ever achieve 97Mw I don't think I'll live to see it!
TLOU staged contracts will get to 97Mw before them imho! And risks are a fraction of Sekaname's risk - if the banks start paying interest to head off crypto-currencies takeover they will be in Sirius's position I think.

I'm looking at crypto-currencies because negative interest in banks will move phenominal amounts from banks to cryptos imho. Billionaires won't be paying banks to hold their billions surely?

And post covid the stock exchange and insolvencies by the ton is possibly too dodgy?

I ticked your post - can you believe that?

Yes, the journey finally begins. 4 years later than hyped, but it would seem, finally, after how many false starts, that we are on the cusp of Gents, start your engines....
How many punters are discouraged, disillusioned, broken as a result of the early bullpoop.
The negotiation of the 100mw tender PPA begins soon. There is still the confusion around Tlou having bid 2MW (scaling over time) and Sekaname having bid 97mw. It would be good if management made it clear once and for all what exactly they are negotiating here.
And remember, if they say it will take 3 months to negotiate the PPA, best then you double or probably treble that time frame. And even then, will the terms of the PPA be acceptable to project financiers ...
Yes, seems we are at the end of the beginning, but does that mean the race itself will be like cruising down a straight highway.... You already know what I think

RNS - the journey begins (and would explain the 500k trades that have been going through lately)

So chukkers has bolted. Cant say I blame him. Chukkyboy - the RNS are not cryptic; they were crafted by DT speech writer - never let the truth get in the way of a good story. And after you have been caught out, deny deny deny.....

The only thing that truly surprises me with this stock is why it clings to 3p. The is going to be and end of cycle, market correction, market reset before this stock gets anywhere near being significantly revenue generative. How many prices will be paupered then as a result .....

FA that is going to create meaningful progress here is going to happen in the next 6 months minimum. Remember there is a State of Emergency still in place until March, with S Africa showing hellish increases in people infected. With no vaccine rollout plan being referenced - little wonder Africa is a survival of the fittest - and Tlou will soon have spent it available $$$$ and not be looking all that fit!!

Great shame, great story, great opportunity, great loss in all probability.

Could be my farewell post as I don’t plan to pay upcoming subscription renewal. Pointless as Tlou isn’t going anywhere fast for 2021 - lots of negotiations to get a contract. Financiers won’t lend until there is a meaningful PPA concluded, so great this starts in January. I wonder will it conclude by June ...
I see I can again read the LSE posts; wish I hadn’t bothered. Whizzer still whingeing and wants to sack the Board (pointless) and Brad still defending St Tony to the hilt (mindless). It was a pleasure to read post by Mopanetree (I wonder how many appreciate the name); sadly he is in minority of posters with knowledge.
In summary - Tlou’s 2 lateral wells are probably not cost effective, they are talking about drilling more wells and in different seams; has everyone forgot all the pre-drilling tosh talked by Tony about seismic identifying best places to drill, how previous shareholders cash was well spent identifying right areas to drill, imminent funding from BDC (they must have walked away by now), cash will run out soon enough and then what, ...

HNY - shame Tlou is unlikely to be making it a profitable one.

News: 3.6 magnitude earthquake rattles Gaborone. The Botswana Geoscience Institute has said a magnitute 3.6 earthquake within the Gaborone region occured at 12:44 at 9 km below surface. ‘The seismic event is of tectonic origin associated with continental drifting’ said, Koketso Botsepe Applied Geoscience Manager.

Oh well, at least this time they cannot blame Tlou or Sekaname drilling as the cause, as was the case back in 2017.

Yup, heard pretty much all of it before. Still trying to kid us mgmt are doing their best to get a good deal for shareholders. Any deal would be good for shareholders, since there has been no deals yet.
Try as I might, I cannot get my head past multi-million funding for 2MW power generation notwithstanding the blue sky of rapid increase to 10MW and beyond. Are they buying new or old equipment I wonder.
Talking about more Wells needed to dewater the reservoir - saying should lead to greater gas flows. And targeting a new prospective coal seam - which says what about the existing seam (surely must imply it hasn’t been as good as they would have liked).
Conclusion - long way to go, all the previous uncertainties, finance won’t be secured until there is an agreed PPA (funders are not that stupid), aspirational timelines as usual. But that was our Xmas sign off message so Merry Xmas everyone
