Well there you go my friend...Rome definitely wasn’t built in a day! I not really bothered about the start and the middle it’s the ending that really matters to me. Onward and upward as they say!

Cool - check the ASX listing document and read how uncomplicated the process you set out was expected then. Bear in mind Tlou raised their money against the dataset and leases originating from Saber (Who in turn had bought some of that from Kalahari).

20 years and counting my friend ......

Donk..donk .donk so how long do you really think it would take to start a new industry from scratch, develop a CBM gas supply source, build infrastructure to connect to the main grid. Source and install gas turbines to generate the power and for fill al of the regulatory requirements and red tape that goes with it. Couple that with the fact that this is being done in Southern Africa and I think winni was not far off with his/hers guestimate of the time scale.

NB not everybody who invests on the AIM is a get rich quick merchant. Some have an understanding of what’s involved and get in early and take the risk that a longterm view affords them. Yes the risk is higher but in most cases so are the rewards.. Most of these type of investors don’t waste there time talking boll*cks on silly little chatroom because they have far more important things to do. And also know why they’ve invested init and don’t need reassurance or hear the sound of there own words constantly.

Whizz - don’t be fooled. Old Winnie the Pooh is probably a mate of Clueless, given the way he defended him and now says he invests in AIM on a 7+ years outlook.
Absolute waffle !!

Touring mining and energy projects around the country is one of my initiatives, especially the ones that have been in existence for a long time and not doing well to see their progress and how we, as Government can asssit for them to operate and boost the economy of the country. This was said by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Green Technology and Energy Security, Hon. Lefoko Maxwell Moagi recently when touring the Coal Bed Methane companies. The Minister said there are two companies producing Coal Bed Methane (CBM) Gas, which are Kalahari Energy and Tlou Energy. These companies have done the drilling in different areas and did all the tests which showed that there is gas that can be produced. What is left is to do a pilot project of commercialing this gas to put it in the grid to give Batswana electricity. There is considerable demand for CBM to play a significant role in future power generation in Botswana in pursuit of energy security and optimising the energy mix. The Government is highly supportive of new energy projetcs.

They would need the funding in place before accepting a tender, probably before going to tender (edit). The construction is not very complicated, it's just a transmission line, so it shouldn't take long to complete the tender process, except maybe the government approval part!

"The Company is evaluating both debt and equity funding options or a mix of both. Indicative proposals have been received and as the Company currently has sufficient funds in the bank for its general working capital and consequently is not under any financial pressure to conclude a funding package for the Lesedi power project, the Company will carefully weigh up all options before making a decision on the most appropriate financing option."

That says to me that there is no imminent news expected regards funding, also as the tender documents for the construction won't be issued until nearer the end of the year then I wouldn't expect construction to start until mid 2021 and therefore no need for additional funds until then unless they want to start some solar development.

Agree with your final statement too - I filtered him a few weeks ago. Good for my blood pressure!

LSE down yet again on chat room, but they have got the quarterly RNS.

I tried to post this over there .....

Reading the RNS, I see there is talk of solar being installed at all 3 sites.
On Mamba and Boomslang instead of being described as gas and solar, as in Lesedi, it mentions solar and gas in reverse order. Reading about Lesedi, I was comfortable that the $10m was earmarked for gas and distribution lines alone.

Searching through the document for "solar" threw up several references including gas being used to back up solar power. I wish I had a De Lorien car to skip forward a few years, exciting times ahead!

One trade in Oz for 5.5c, they are still flying the Tlou flag high.

Nobody yet has said anything to make me doubt TG in quite a few years!
Everything he says is consistent and he even tells us the downsides if there are any.
TLOU are guilty of getting carried away with the belief that funding was done and and dusted, but then news broke that BPC were in all sorts of trouble, something you have warned about for ages - but news they were broke was still a surprise!

There was no intention to mislead shareholders, of that I am certain, and Colm has apologised on behalf of the company.
It is why they are not throwing news at us any more, something else you remarked upon recently.

I don't think they'll let enthusiasm like that become public again until it is 100% certain.

Yet again your binary mind manifests.

PS I have been consistently negative since 2017. Now I am wondering whether the Botswana landscape is changing for the betterment of Tlou - at least you picked that up.

I assume you have heard of Buy, Hold, Sell. As investors, we are allowed to switch between the 3. Why do you think this doesn’t also apply to me.

And yes - every day you show us what an idiot your are. Blind faith has its place in investment theory - just that it doesn’t get much mention anywhere else.

I am optimistic and you brand me an idiot.
You then do a U-turn and mention something that is optimistic yourself but you are a genius.

And right or wrong you'll claim you were right one way or another?

There was a site visit by Ministry staff in June 2019. And we were told PPA negotiations would start soon - and that was 8 months before covid ...

But, for the first time in a long time, I do get a sense of more meaningful development about to kick off here.

Imagine if I am right again Brad. No doubt you will say I wasn’t....

Ok your just the polar bit..didn’t expect anything from today.. but do expect something in the very near future..Ministers don’t visit failing organisations to look at a project without a good idea it will be moving forward.. especially not in Botswana.. unless there’s is a large brown envelope

Bi-polar eh. You do know what that means G-spot. Pretty sure my view hasn’t ‘swung wildly’ over the past 3* years.

Tbh, the announcements today are very underwhelming. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some real news to announce sometime soon.

but STILL no progress regards funding, same old same old . . nothing; I'm out again now and predict a fall back to 2.5p to 3p, made a nice bit of loose change on the way up from 1.6p to 3.8 but that's it for now.

Well Mr bi-polar your thoughts on why the Minister would even bother to visit such a failing project?

What a totally underwhelming Chairman’s letter.

Enjoyed the write up of the Minister’s site visit - Honourable Minister was mentioned 8 times throughout. A little over the top I thought

SFOS. I think you are well guilty of crowing way too soon. But great - you are still that legend in your own mind and nothing will change that.

If it was in great shape from the start, how come there are now 500m shares in issue. A company in existence since 2009 and with a current market cap of 20m quid. And you think that is success.

Idiot !!

Such a shame you can cobble together a story about a total stranger but still your only justification for investing in Tlou is In Tony we trust.

I guess it is never lonely inside that cavernous man cave of yours Brad. One week of improving share price action bit without any news (at least none your were able to source) just look at you. Bouncy, chirpy, opinionated, semi-macho and back on full bore transmit of the world according to Forrest....

Great to see something has given you cause for optimism - let’s hope it lasts. For sure, when Tlou has good news they seldom hold back on reporting it. I wonder why this time appears different.....

AGM will be interesting in a few days. I have full confidence with this share, it's all about patience here. I'm confident financing news will land here very soon, then it will really get interesting.
