Broker Citi on KWS today. But according to some here, AI has nothing to do with the video gaming sector, in fact "The gaming industry has absolutely no connection to AI in the slightest and the purpose AI serves. It would be like putting electric cars and a kettle into the same bracket because they're both electrical."Citi stuck to its 'neutral' recommendation for Keywords Studios, telling clients that the risks around generative artificial intelligence struck them as "likely overstated". "For what it is worth, it strikes us that some of the concerns about the long-term risk associated with generative AI - which are oft cited as the factor behind the recent aggressive derating - are likely overstated," they said in a research note sent to clients.

Can't see how net impact is zero when on the P&L it's clearly stated that the $11.1m of non-recurring "other income" has increased their bottom line, thus earnings, by that amount, hence my comment that the core business in actuality only generated $400k.

It includes a $11.1m write-off of the intangibles from the Versus Evil/ Red Cerberus acquisition broadly offset by a reduction in deferred earn out payment.Write downs are a hit to the P&L, reduction in earn outs are a positive. So this statement is flat.

Sure is weird I personally feel it's worth closer to a quidObviously wish I hadn't got in at 55p and/or had put a proper stop loss onHope that patience is rewarded and see this as a great entry point at this fire sale price, albeit with the risks pointed out below. Don’t know what your issue is tbh. This is on my watch list (has been for a while) and I will continue to post my views.
No comment I see with regards to evidence that Alex says he wants to buy shares but waiving rule 9 won’t instigate him buying despite how much the share price has crashed. Yes IMO him buying will show the market conviction and confidence in the business.
Don’t recall ever saying I’ve no interest in buying these, I’ve said why should I buy if the CEO has zero desire to purchase any despite his words. He dips into his pockets and I may do likewise…..then again I might not, my business.
So excluding “other income” which I take was and is a one off, their bottom line profit FY22 would have been $400k.
There could be 33% share dilution, IMO they are burning through cash due to excessive admin and Capex costs so need to raise more funds.
Plus there is a seller overhang, so why buy now?

Disc0Dave45 - You’d have to question the mentality though of someone who’s never been invested here, has no plans of being but attempts (not very well) to point out the ‘red flags’ lol.

Wouldn’t your time be better spent worrying about companies you are invested in or have an interest in investing in?

What’s in it for you?

With regards to the company, a current market cap of now just £62m, current PE ratio of just 3.8. Operating profit up 27%, revenue up 21%, EBITDA up 10%, pre tax profit up 27%…….

Cash in the bank, should be around $26.5m at end of December 2023, accretive acquisitions in the agenda…..

You on the other hand clearly bought in extremely high and you’re now bitter that your pennies have fizzled away and you’re extremely bitter about it and you blame the CEO. Him buying more shares isn’t going to change anything.

Deramping here with unsubstantiated nonsense isn’t going to bring your money back, move on? Life’s too short.

Should also take on board resolution 5 - Authority to allot common stock.Up to 67.3million (33% of issued shares) with a maximum of 20.4 million for either raising cash to fund capital investment or obtaining financing for capital investment. Again they say the board has no intention of exercising these authorities if approved but it's desirable to have readily available to take advantage of possible opportunities.Has this spooked the market?

Only just read the AGM resolution 6 - acquisition of shares by stockholder holding more than 30%So Alex could if approval is granted buy more shares without any obligation to bid for the company.However, it also says: Mr Nichiporchik and concert parties do not have a present intention to purchase additional shares of common stock, as contemplated by this resolution 6. However, the board considers it in the best interests of the company to seek stockholder approval prospectively so that Mr Nichiporchik and concert parties May take advantage of opportunities to increase their holding when and if such opportunities are presented"So let's see if a 80% discount to the 2021 placing price is deemed an opportunity!

I think what we’ve established is that you’re projecting your own opinions and stating them as fact when in reality it’s nothing more than a load of old bluster.

I’ll stick with my original assertion that your posts are nothing more than unsubstantiated opinions.

As for AI. Yes, I can fairly confidently say that it will not impact the gaming industry in the slightest. It’s never been easier for people to write and produce their own music and videos but there aren’t more millionaire musicians.

That’s a fact.
