Eisier, have you seen the downward direction of the EU economy and it's unrepayable debt? Draghi's swansong was to leave the spigots open pumping E20 bn per month in a desperate move to try to keep it all afloat. But don't worry the unelected commissioners in Brussels will be safe from their own 'wisdom'.

Castleford Tiger, an excellent observation there regarding the differences between Dart Group and TCG and the invalid comment about the hot summer supposedly damaging their business.

As we prepare to leave the EU, we had better get used to some big companies failing over the next couple of years. There is only one direction the UK economy is going in - and it's not up.

Was it Tui someone said was up 8%. Maybe today, but the atol insurance scheme is funded by the industry. I'd be cautious there.

Thank you

Its difficult when people are blinded but this really was there to be seen.
Never made a penny as I don't short and my only interest was my stake in DARTG group so same sector.

When TCG says sales are down 30% because of the weather being too hot and DART sales are up 30% you know they are in trouble.

Sad for the staff

A reply to you in the time honoured format. Never been a shareholder here, but always amusing to read back the unfolding drama with hindsight( about page 5000 is a good place to start).
Anyway, all credit to you for your wisdom as the thread's naysayer.

The AA has huge debt and is worth looking at for a spread bet short.
It won't go bust, but I think it will eventually do a D4E.

This is just the start of it, sorry to say but a much bigger fall is coming across the board. Safe havens like gold companies are where you will prosper. Then the bargains will appear just like 2008

Mallorca can't decide whether the greatest pleasure comes from making money on his short, or gloating to those shareholders who have lost out.

Such bliss, he must be very happy today.

Peter still can’t get it right he missed a few things he blamed
Brexit
Change of holidaying habits
The pound
Banks
Government

He failed to blame
Himself
Brexit everyone has faced, jet2, EasyJet still making plenty
Himself
If holiday habits change your the leader you should be leading the change
Himself
The pound changed permanently three and a half years ago, you should have used hedging at that time and easily adjusted by now as everyone else has the same problem
Himself
You should have reigned in spending at least a year ago and done a rights issue when the shares were still over a pound
Himself
The government is not there to bail out companies, occasionally yes but even that we are still paying for

2.Rolling over debtrather then reducing it
2.Weaker sterling
4.Hike in fuel prices.
