Not a shorter Bob, just don't want you to sucker in others in this money hole called THG. Sanks is the guy who had a number in every message but I didn't see you blame him for "anchoring". I guess cause you're long and are subjective. Everyone is now telling you this is going to fall another 30-50% from here. I exclude brick cause he's just ridiculous with his 10p but you never know...you laughed at dsmith for shorting this at 196 remember. Who is laughing now.

bldm says 80p fair value now he is saying 50p fair value, for anyone new to this board bldm is a shorter he wants to manipulate you to sell your shares for his own personal gain using a technique called a the anchoring effect. see below

Other shorters in this forum are using the very same technique

Please do not listen to them and make your own decisions

Anchoring effect explained:

Price targets by random users that are far below the current price.

Manipulators are using what’s called the anchoring effect. If your stock is currently at $70, they’ll say things like “I’m a buyer at $50.” This causes you to question your investment thesis. Did you get in too early? Is bad news about to drop?

Your brain becomes attached to the 50 number. There’s science to prove it. You can even test it with your friends. Ask one friend if he thinks Abraham Lincoln was older or younger than 50 when he died. Then ask that same friend at exactly what age do they think Lincoln died. Odds are they’ll give a number around 50 due to the anchoring effect.

Now, ask a second friend the same set of questions, but change the age from 50 to 100.

Odds are the second friend will give a number closer to 100.

Mrsimmons yup. I would say that in hindsight, I should have stopped when I downloaded their quarter update report and the pdf was > 100MB file. More gimmick than substance for sure.

I would love a sit down with the cfo to take him to task on his thinking over the past 5 years. I would pay for an hour with him. Does anyone remember Paxmans interview with Michael Howard? Yes. It would be like that.

One of them, some simpleton called Sanks said this would be 5.17. Interesting. 6bn for a low margin retailer that loses cash. Honestly you couldn’t make it up with some of these numbers. I’m fairly sure their SPs are based on some look back on the chart when it was that price. ‘Oh well it’s been there before so it must get back soon’ is probably about the depth of analysis Sanks has undertaken. It’s embarrassing.

He is of course silent now. And yes the war hasn’t helped granted, but all that has done has expedited the inevitable for me. The management team is one of the most naive and incompetent bunch I’ve come across in 20 years. The CFO is incredibly hopeless he should never get another job in a listed again.

Of course THG is improving but that has nothing to do with the share price. It was posted yesterday that they will likely be putting a new chairman. Unless this chairman can fix brexit, inflation, energy prices, climate change, labour shortages, supply chain issues then I'm not buying THG. They also need to improve faster. In this world, it's not just direction of travel that matters, it's speed too! Clown.

Bob, you mean "When this goes to 40p". Won't be long, don't worry.

Sell now or lose more I told you on Monday, I told you on Tuesday, I told you yesterday.

When I calculated fair value, I didn't take war in Europe into account. This will go to 40-50. Who wants make up then there's a war going on in Europe because of the brilliant politics of the UK and the US. THG need to start selling camo paint to survive.

By the time they announce something positive, it will be 60p. A 100% jump will take it back to 120 lol.

Bd I have done a valuation. I offered to share it weeks ago. They all declined my offer.

To be fair the events today are probably expediting the fall but it is now getting closer to my fair value. I would then like another 20/30% discount for the incompetent management team. That’s my entry point.

COO must be happy he sold at 1.22. He can buy them all back now and probably still cover the margin call/loan or whatever it was that forced his sale.
