I don't think MM would accept 1.50 not when he rejected a 4 billion bid in 2018.
If PE offered 1.50 for beauty I think he would reject that too.

They would have to release RNS about refused 1.50 bid and at least that would move share price back to £1.50 territory as investors will see value in THG beauty and how oversold THG is as a group

Look what happened to John Menzies share price when they released refused bid RNS the other week.

Based on the current numbers there has to be value at this level. I suspect a tabled offer will be announced in the coming weeks and I estimate around 150p.

We will have to agree to disagree on that one mrsimmons. But even if THG beauty was losing money, which it isn't. PEs would still want it. One of the more recent acquisitions by a PE in beauty sector was made even though the company purchased was losing money. Cant for the life of me remember the name, but it will come to me.THG will start to see the benifts of the 1 billion investment made last year which will make it even more profitable and efficient going forward

Losing 150m a year with 500m cash in bank- so even on current business model (which is geared up for and paid in advance for logistics for growth) Thg has enough cash to stay solvent for over 3 years
Next please mrs immons

Bob WRONG - it is losing cash every year. £150m last year. You are looking at profits and conveniently ignoring capex which sustains the now declining margin. Anyway I don't need to convince you - the share price tells everyone all they need to know.

PE companies are not bothered about EBITDA and have valued mostly on revenue. There are plenty of ways to skin a cat and EBITDA valuation does not bother the big boys. Infact the most recent takeover was valued at multiples of revenue and not EBITDA and that was on a loss making company.

THG is not losing money :)

Per Capstone, "Private equity firms have largely acted through add-on deals to enhance sector portfolios."

3 x PE companies currently circling THG now :)
