This is called the anchoring effect - He wants you to sell your shares ask yourself why he is doing this? He is trying to manipulate you for his own personal gain. Please do not listen to him and instead make your own decisions.

Now, ask a second friend the same set of questions, but change the age from 50 to 100.

Odds are the second friend will give a number closer to 100.

It’s not that simple.
He could always have bought or be granted options if he went with the new company.
It’s about transparency to ensure shareholder support and ensure that he is separated from the final negotiation.
The news of a chairperson within 2 weeks has confirmed the prospect of an imminent PE deal.
It’s the only reason.
He will now explain it to the Board.
Many will be disappointed along with a few shareholders as its a realisation that the IPO price will never be recovered.
The City Chairperson will need to be a heavy weight as they have all lost a lot of money.

Bob, I’ve been observing this for a while. Bldm talks about Ponzi schemes, share price hitting £10, just trying to warn people and so on. There’s a lot of uncertainty at the moment but there are two things that remain constant..
1) Bldm gets a massive hard on when the share price goes down.

If I were a shorter, why would I want to convince you? The cumulative position of this board is a dust in the desert of shares that are out there. You must be really stupid to think that anyone here or even collectively can do something. And why would I pick THG? I'd got better chance with a US company. Plenty of US stocks down > 90%. Which is one of the problems THG has - there's too many stocks trading at steep discount, why would you invest in a UK company run by a narcissist?

If they had more time then quite possibly you are right but they need to act fast now.
I also suspect PR/MM want a speedy resolution.
One of the many reasons they need an independent chairperson asap.
I agree on the surface a break up looks better for shareholders although that depends on the price?
I am absolutely sure they are very close to securing a PE deal.
I will be adding not selling.
