22/2/2022 18:26 | bob is a troll. What we do know for sure is that he has lost a lot of money here. A lot of money for him. I doubt the bloke has more than £5k investments because he sound s so unintelligent and uneducated it looks like this is the first stock he has bought in his life. Forget about this loser, I've had nights out more expensive than his portfolio disaster. Hahahahaha bob, you're killing me! You are buying because of a "rumour" for a bid from a PE. Let me break down the risks clowny McClown Clown: 1. 100 rumours about THG - if you're investing in THG because of a PE rumour you're a clown. 2. If real negotiations take place it's a toss of a coin that they'll come to an agreement. You're a clown. 3. If an offer is made, it's a toss of a coin it will be approved by THG's owners. If you're betting they will accept it, you're a clown. 4. If an offer is made, it's unlikely to be a generous offer. If you're betting it will be, you're a clown. 5. Even if all the planets align and this happens, there's no guarantee it will still be signed. You're a clown. You've got GSK - Unilever falling through recently and just before METRO was approached and it fell through. To invest purely on a rumour that this might be happening...ahahahah | ![]() bldm

22/2/2022 18:25 | fake PE bid? No bid yet but one soon :) Betaville, Advent is working with advisers from Goldman Sachs on its interest in THG alongside the company's founder, Matt Moulding. It was understood that executives from Advent have visited THG's offices in Manchester in recent months. People following the situation told Betaville that dealmakers from Apollo were visiting the offices and one of the company's warehouses this week. Advisers from Jefferies were said to be working for THG on fielding interest from the buyout firms. It was unclear on Friday whether the PE firms were working individually on the potential deal or as a consortium. The precise nature of the deal being discussed was also unclear, Betaville said. There has been speculation about a takeover of THG since last year when founder Moulding suggested in an interview with GQ Magazine that he might be interested in quitting the stock market following the company's float. | ![]() billionarebob
22/2/2022 18:23 | BOIX I agree it can't be too far off, the PEs have been named, it is happening now. Am still hoping for a split as I can see the sum of the parts being more than the group. We will just have to wait and see :) | ![]() billionarebob

22/2/2022 17:51 | Bob Some traders also have what is called DMA (direct market access) via a prime broker. They can buy at the lower price(general market sell price) and sell at the higher (general market buy price). That spread almost covers the stamp duty buy effectively making trading cost free (flat fee fee access) and attempt to manipulate/move the book price or generate unreal volume - basically deceive others! It makes buy sell volumes even more meaningless. Some DMA traders also try to arbitrage between pools/exchanges to make a margin. There is more but it get’s too detailed to explain on BBs | ![]() boix

22/2/2022 17:46 | I am sorry Bldm I have to disagree with you on one point. My apologies in advance. What you mean stay down, is in fact real value. All companies trade at discount to NAV. My estimates about 20p NAV, say discount 30%-40%, 12p-14p. I am open to discussing. | firestorm911
22/2/2022 17:44 | The market will take this to lows you won't believe. Doesn't matter if the business is sound or not. Don't look for a reason. Market doesn't like this, it will go lower and lower and lower to a ridiculous level. You don't want to be in it. Metro lost 99.5% of its value. This has plenty of room to go down. And it can stay down for years. And during those years dilutions will happen. If you hold long term, even if it once starts rising it will take you an afternoon to calculate if you've made money or not in real terms. | ![]() bldm
22/2/2022 17:42 | Easy to manipulate:) | ![]() billionarebob
22/2/2022 17:41 | Indeed the market is correcting itself, it's valuing out to its real value, which possibly will be circa 100m-150m. It may take more months to value out, months of further pain. | firestorm911 |
