Here is how it works:

Price targets by random users that are far below the current price.

Manipulators are using what’s called the anchoring effect. If your stock is currently at £70, they’ll say things like “I’m a buyer at £50.” This causes you to question your investment thesis. Did you get in too early? Is bad news about to drop?

Your brain becomes attached to the 50 number. There’s science to prove it. You can even test it with your friends. Ask one friend if he thinks Abraham Lincoln was older or younger than 50 when he died. Then ask that same friend at exactly what age do they think Lincoln died. Odds are they’ll give a number around 50 due to the anchoring effect.

Now, ask a second friend the same set of questions, but change the age from 50 to 100.

Odds are the second friend will give a number closer to 100.

THG says Dermologica is not restricting stock over discounting concerns
THG's share price fell to a new record low on Monday

Matthew Moulding's online beauty, wellness and software giant THG has denied suppliers are restricting stock over concerns about 'aggressive discounting'.

The Manchester-headquartered group has issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange after reports that Dermologica, which is owned by Unilever, is one of a number of brands that have reduced supplies to protect their pricing.

How much did you lose? I think you said you had 30/40,000 shares back when the share price was £3.50
You must have lost a lot, I feel sorry for you if that is the case and it explains why you are so bitter :(

You said you will invest again in THG maybe now might be a good entry point for you to try and get back some of your losses on the way back up :)

bob, I know I was bullish then saw this for what it is, took the cold blooded decision to exit, this saved me from the further losses this suffered and I am now watching to see how low it goes and if I should enter back. I also know you are deep in losses and that you have been wrong on everything so far which is provable and out there.

srs8 you are the idiot mate. First, the only market participants news from the telegraph would affect is PI the likes on this forum. If you think PIs have enough power to move THG down 10% you're smoking something strong and should reduce the dosage. Furthermore, PIs are notorious for not selling no matter what (hold, diamond hands call it whatever you want).

Then if you think professional investors will get tricked by a nonsense story you are smoking too much. Fact is, when BlackRock sold this at 195, they weren't fooled even though at the time it was below market price. They knew this was not the right place for capital right now.

Every trick in the book has been played to get THG down to where it is today. Shorters through their network of our dispicable press, have released negative stories non stop (lies). They are in desperation mode now!

PE deal is coming no doubt about it. They can buy a solid global growth business at a fraction. Shorters better run, PE will take this over. Current business worth multiple of todays market cap, it's an easy business decision.

Remember £4 Billion was offered by PE in 2018, when the business was considerably smaller. To get to a similar price now, business is now 3-4 bigger minimum, to get to £4 billion its x3 from here !!!

Now we all know, they are spreading lies lies and lies! Surely there has to be repercussions.

Made this drop 10% yesterday on absolute fake news. Disgusting.

This will go up, same speed it has come down. Just wait for PE takeover offer to land, it will be EPIC.
