The sheer extent of the shorting operation against THg has been spectacular. Every week, a new false story fed into the press, even a fake takeover bid to create a spike against which to open new shorts from higher levels. Loads of posters (who have posted on nothing but thg) incessantly screwing the heads of retail investors and nearly all shorters looking to stay below the magic 0.5pc disclosure. Truth is thg have not managed the City well, inflation is not ideal for the business, whether supply chain or whey prices. However this is a well capitalised business making more than £2bn revenue with high margins and with market leading positions and the current share price is ridiculous.

You got to wonder whether the media onslaught has much foundation, I agree no smoke without fire, but even with statements from company how much truth is being parlayed in the newspapers. Moulding is not popular, and some people just do not do themselves any favours, but how much is accurate. Off course the figures will tell their own story when results will be announced, but the valuation is getting pretty low even to reflect much of the uncertainty. Christ knows what is happening within this company, that is likely on investors minds!

Damn...I feel sorry for you guys. DYOR but when the voting comes in a month or so, make sure you vote. It's an absolute disgrace this one. If this were in the US there would be a class action lawsuit. Not only has MM not said anything in light of the wipeout of shareholders, everything he's said has been poison for the share price. He's a liability. Let him stay as chair but NOT as CEO. Company desperately needs an independent chair and a new CEO.

Not great but THG already down 8%+ today and very oversold

The problem with this hound is the business model is fundamentally flawed. Capex of a manufacturer delivering RETAILER returns. It is like a football team with a dodgy defence and no spark up front - a recipe for disaster.

My Big worry is the next update could talk about a further decline in the core Margin. I am afraid if that happens (and the market suggests it will) this is in for another SHERLACKING.

Hosai LSE 2For all the flack Moulding gets, raising $1.05 billion in May at £5.96 has been shown to be a great move before the inflation led growth/tech decline. Even if some believe he paid too much for Cult Beauty and Bentley with the money it left with THG with around £310 million extra cash outside of these acquisitions. I imagine a lot of the other growth companies are wishing they had raised back at this time.
