07/2/2022 17:51 | UNCOOKED ALERT: THG said to ... - Part 6Monday, 7 February 2022, 5:09 pmFriends and colleagues at the Daily Mail and The Sunday Times were kind enough to give little old Betaville a mention over the weekend following Friday's UNCOOKED Alert about the private equity firms interested in THG, the online retailer also known as The Hut Group.Indeed, the hard working Sam Chambers at The Sunday Times appears to have independently verified little old Betaville's UNCOOKED Alert with his own sources. Below is a link to his piece in case you missed it:https://www.theti | leoneobull
07/2/2022 17:46 | Ingenuity hasn't yet delivered?THG Ingenuity extract from Jan 2022 webcast:-----The Position then with Ingenuity Commerce the annual growth rate was 135% we delivered over 15 million revenue in the quarter which was over 30% higher than our previous record quarter. In terms of the key stats that we would pull out, we increase the number of live websites to 187, which is a 100 up in the year. The recurring revenue per website increased to £240,000 pounds, the recurring revenue mix was at 72%, now our new revenue run rate has increased to 61 million. Now those stats reflect how successful J&V growth was with our clients in the quarter. In addition, although we don't mention anything specifically ourselves, you may have picked out the Matalan press release. Where will be working with them on their digital revolution?I would put a substantial amount of work into winning substantial clients like that, although none of the revenue on that account will be recognised in this year. That will start to kick in quarter one, along with other substantial wins that we have got.And I remind everyone in terms of guidance for 2022 of 108 to 112 million, that's predicated on launching 400 and taking a number of client solutions to 400 from the 109 that we have got at the moment.Which is 85% of those contracts that are already contracted with us. It assumes a recurring revenue per website of £170,000 pounds and a recurring revenue mix of 60% so it doesn't include any of the new business that we currently can win, have won, and expect to win later in the year.We are super confident on the numbers for 2022 and very proud of the growth that we've delivered in the success of working with our clients in 2021.----- | billionarebob

07/2/2022 17:25 | There are groups (hunting packs) unleashed on THG across all platforms spouting absolute rubbish to scare uninformed PI. They are now at desperation stage, who controls them, no idea! Sit tight. Have patience. Look at the fundamentals. Like I say, multiple private equity from the US are interested as they must see it as hugely undervalued. | london07

07/2/2022 17:18 | Mr s You are spot on and evening standard critical of management: "If Moulding admits defeat on the stock market, it won’t win him any friends and could create problems down the line. Private equity-owned firms often end up on stock markets. If IPO backers sell to private equity, they face a likely steep loss. Next time THG starts doing the rounds in the City — or Wall Street, which Moulding now seems keen on — investors will rightly ask: why will it be any different this time?" The company throwing money away and short sellers know that. Its a penny share at under a quid at best. | debsdowner

07/2/2022 16:56 | Mr simmons, MM has the special and he won't let it go for cheap. There are a number of PEs interested and that normally means a bidding war. Remember they contacted THG not the other way around :) | billionarebob
07/2/2022 16:41 | on-going capex (£200m per year) absolutely kills this hound. You need £3bn of sales @ 7% just to offset that. Interest at £50m and exceptionals and rent another £60m means you need £4.5bn of sales just to be break-even FCF. The core business is no different to other retailers. Ingenuity was the hope but that doesn't have the scale - contracts with Matalan and the like was not what people were banking on/expecting when this IPO'ed. £2bn is about right and take over price will be sub £1.6. Those hoping for >£2 are living in disney land. | mrsimmons

07/2/2022 16:14 | I feel the risk for shorts here isn't worth it ... even if this falls to 80p which would be quite surprising ... there is the risk of a bud even a low ball would have to be at least 250 per share and that in the long term would be such a good buy :) | g2theary
07/2/2022 16:13 | As I keep saying this dog doesn't make any cash and isn't forecast to do so in at least the next 3/4 years - after that it may plod along at say 0-£50m per year. The capex crucifies it. They buy their own planes etc - the margins should be higher to justify all that capex - £200m a year. This is badly run. £1.6-2bn is about right. | mrsimmons
