I also feel inflation will go above the 7% the bank says ... transitionary inflation was a good one ?? disappointed with gold at the min I have about 20% of portfolio in solid silver gold 3% platinum and palladium... I'm expecting higher gold this year but interest rates are the only dampener :) be nice if they went to 5/7% for a few years drop that property market off a bit... not sure what it would do to gold mind but it worked in the 80's

I believe a lot of what you have wrote is right but I feel it would go for over 300p. The short disclosure said 260p they could have said 100p 120p or any figure even 0p but they said 260p... these are so cheap I can't believe they got to 113p :)) it's terrible for the guy who punts at IPO or on the FOMO RALLY TO 800p and sits on their hands... I watched these from IPO because it was so advertised and I'm from just outside of Manchester. But didn't even entertain them till they dropped below the IPO I bought at 310... then 280 and then more at 295 on the rise back up selling at 360 :) got stung a little in December then started buying back at 160p all the way to 116p :) if these got to 200p I'd be very happy but disappointed:);)How much did they pay for the hale country club? I can't find the price anywhere. I've seen it was July 2016 ... thanks in advance

This will be taken out by Avent from LA for about 2 quid a share. Company worth 3 times that but botched float and IPO’s in U.K. are a disaster, my entry was 180 so will be glad to offload, U.K. indexes are terminal and U.K. is going into a hardcore recession, parabolic inflation, rising interest rates, fuel, taxes and labour shortages from the brexit fiasco, dogshxt government, it writes itself, time to dump it.

I think its likely that there is an announcement. There has been a material move in the SP, there is a clear rumour, if there is any precision to this then I would expect an announcement under the rules.

Your right about that, let's see who is swimming naked against the tide.Tsunami of buyers are going to absolutely obliterate shorts here Monday. The Squeeze is on I'm afraid

Dr.B. Yes know what you mean, the problem is that the previous 20 months flattered all us investors into thinking we can pick stocks (me inc.).
Tide, floats, boats,
Now it's a bit trickier, well a lot actually, so 90% of my portfolio is static and waiting for the divis, and last 10% I move around a bit to try and catch value rises, not easy :)

Dr.B. Why do you think Metro Bank is trading at 0.13 of it's NAV?
I confess to have a very small holding there as well, hopefully it will post near breakeven in results later this month, but hey, it likes to disappoint recently (so prob not), I am looking through that though.

My holding here is 0.4% of my portfolio (which is down 7% this year). Nice for me to get a trade right, but even a bid at double the current price will make little difference overall.

There will be an RNS tomorrow citing “Media speculation” and I’m sure they will take the opportunity to reference the depressed share price

And that's the truth Frankel.
But at an 80% discount from recent highs and looking at the last Q4 update, I like the odds. But you could say I'm talking my book (of which this is only a percent or two of overall portfolio, but it's hard to get excited about Shell, Lloyds, NWG, Investec, etc the boring ones, I only tend to post on the more interesting ones).
Gonna be fun to watch here.

Hilarious how some are trying to put a negative spin on last couple of days.
So which one are you, sold at a loss or wanted to get in cheaper, or both? ;)

Ouch, if first.
And Nope, if second.

Debs. Err, not true in many tech and start up companies, one example.

"Jan. 27, 2021
Tesla on Wednesday reported its first full-year profit, a feat 18 years in the making."

Unless you're a day trader I wouldn't be getting excited over any rise which still puts this under £2.. even a month ago it was over £2.. the beauty division alone is worth double the current share price.Times article is interesting as it adds more clarity which supports the betavile article. The betavile article also came out AFTER the price had started to rise.

Either way if no rns, shorts will scramble to close first thing tomorrow so we could see a very significant move upwards. A US listing will be superb news for THG. Fireworks tomorrow.

So private equity will offer upto 2.5 times it's current valuation albeit in a dire wider market environment will they!...You've been screwed my dear friend if there actually is any substance to the the rumours!

...But are you sure you're not just 'MinnonaireBob' who unfortunately has delusions of grandeur!

It is not beyond the bounds of possibilty that opening share price 155 (15%) and then drift back to 140 for tree shake.

A 20% gain from Fridays close sounds plausible opening. Assuming no RNS.
Where it goes from there is anyone's guess, anyone who invested more than 3 or 4 months ago here, still wouldn't believe the current share price, even +20%.

The huge drop to 190p area in December made the shares look very cheap (as they were over 600p just a couple of months before that).
Current price around 135p is even a steal compared to the 190p.
Gonna just be nice to watch it all unfold, starting Monday.
