Not sure, one bonkers share that currently trades at 0.13 of its NAV is Metro Bank.
I have a few but only a fraction compared to Lloyds, NWG, VMUK, ie risk/reward ratio.
If that gets near break even this year then that will get one hell of a re-rate, especially with a few more interest rate rises in the offing.

What is the actual NAV of this share at the moment. Only thing I can find is 1.18 on IC that was April 2021 :)

If this company does half of what it claims on the tin, then they can take my shares from "My Cold Dead Hands", to quote a great actor with slightly dubious politics, some might say.

I totally agree price stupid low and will be very interesting to see where this goes on Monday - as they say buy on the rumour sell on the news.

I guess the other thing to consider is, there is a lot of bad sentiment already in the price, too much some might say for the last quarters update with increasing figures across the board.
And it's not like the current share price is 800p, 600p, 400p or even 200p, it's a little over 130p.
Any froth was removed from this share price a while ago, so whatever the outcome, hopefully it's arrived at it's low point area already. Only time will tell, interesting to watch.

I agree can be closed out - which stinks if Goldman as Advent Advisors exploited this. But whitehead is x banker so would have been able to re negotiate loan collateral to protect his shares from being sold. If he’s been closed out a bummer for sold 6,926,161 share @ 1.22.

And did he have a choice, why would he have sold the shares at that level unless he desperately needed the money, more likely he was closed out.

Just be very careful something not adding up

the intention to take private would have been known by Stephen whitehead group commercial director yet he still sells his shares at £1.22 (as somebody else said he will have to pay capital gains, so net receipt much less). His bankers on this transaction were Goldman Sachs who are also advising advent. The point I am making Stephen Whitehead would have known shares would go up on takeover leak and Goldman would have accepted more shares as collateral - why sell at such a loss. Also Goldman been selling.

Enjoy the ride for shares should rally on rumour and should be a shorters squeeze (unless denial published) but can anybody else justify why Group Commercial Director would not have known about this deal - as x banker no way he would have sold at £1.22

Only other logic as I posted previously Whitehead actions of selling would push price lower, acquirers in background build share positions because of share drop - then A Director gets share bonus for deal over the line. As previously stated Moulding has no interest in share price going higher if he wants to take private. The Stephen Whitehead transaction defies logic considering he is a main man in the loop. Only other logic is Stephen had no knowledge and has just been a victim of unlucky timing

Otherwise Stephen knew nothing about this deal and as the Group Commercial Director was kept in the dark as to Board and Moulding intentions. Which defies logic. why did he sell @ £1.22

Basically, just gotta sit on hands and watch.
One way or another something will happen here and hopefully it will be at a few times the current share price.

Courtesy of LSE. Roasted shorters short-sellers hit £110mFri 23:13Imagine what this lot trying to close on Monday is going to do lol they will be working over time this weekend I bet lol that is basically 100 million shares they will need to buy up 10% of the company in order to close!Quote: "Early last month it was revealed that the value of shares held by short-sellers had hit £110m as they rushed to cash in on its tumbling stock price."Buy up as many as you can I would say! Most of the shares will be in dimond hands anyway and be looking to get back to IPO price ie MM other directors, institutions let alone the take over!Even at peak trading 20m was traded that is both buys and sells typical about 5m so that would have to be just the shorts closing for 4 full weeks at 5m a day and nobody else even touching the shares!I can smell the roasting already from here lol

Dan LSELet's assume Softbank are in and want IngenuityAdvent paid $700m for three great beauty brands and they want to build this out. They could achieve this through taking beautyAlso advent have great creds here as they owned Olaplex heading into its IPOAdvent can clearly rate the beauty division in line with what beauty assets are worth. 2x revenue given that a lot is reselling but still some great own brands?SoftBank can value ingenuity as they originally did and take thatLeonard Green own beauty and consumer brands so could part own beauty or take nutrition. They have been long standing shareholders in pure gymAll this given each buyer values "a part" much more than a group you easily get to a deal where everyone is looking at it going "this is steal"SoftBank will just sell their part of beauty and nutrition for more of ingenuity. Then advent and Leonard green have a small slice each but sign collab agreements to run their portfolio through ingenuity so SoftBank view on ingenuity accelerates massivelyEasy!

When is deep value , deep value? IMOV it's when private equity were happy to offer almost 4billion in 2017 for the business, it grows, has a highly profitable Ingenuity division and each division is worth more than the sum of the parts according to major investment houses' analysts. So it has a load of cash raised at IPO and in a subsequent raise, just missed it's EBITDA targets due to price of whey and fx changes and the share price falls 50%. Contrived PE bid with MM fully cognisant? No wonder he doesn't care less what Oliver Shah writes in the S Times!!!
