They dont want you eating fresh healthy food.
What theyre dreaming up in the Lab is what they want you to eat going forward.

Hence I was happy to see BeyondMeat and other plant based fake meat companies seeing collapsing sales.

"1kg of fresh Scottish muscles at Tesco still just £3.45, steamed with an 89p bottle of cider for 8 minutes as a meal for two"

luverly jubbly.

"I live alone at the moment. I can buy chilled ready meals with up to date use by dates, eat them or freeze them and eat at my leisure"

Wouldnt touch that ready made rubbish myself

"can eat when I choose at a pretty high level"

Even if youre buying these at Waitrose or M&S they arent that healthy too live off.

Youd be better using one of those services like Hello Fresh or whoever - far more nutrients in the food than ready made meals.

1kg of fresh Scottish muscles at Tesco still just £3.45, steamed with an 89p bottle of cider for 8 minutes as a meal for two - simple, easy & quick - far more healthy and much cheaper than any McDonalds meal.

I sympathise with you La. In the old days the wife would go to the market, buy fresh food for eating at dinner that Evening! (as not necessarily chilled to the same degree as modern supermarket food). Do you eat your fresh food that you buy the same evening? I live alone at the moment. I can buy chilled ready meals with up to date use by dates, eat them or freeze them and eat at my leisure. Times and technology have changed. I enjoy my leisure and can eat when I choose at a pretty high level, on a whim and no fuss.People are now seldom prepared for the extra bother for marginal taste gain, and as the market has largely been replaced, the supermarkets are correct imo to cut that section down.Where will we be in 20 years?

I think it is a great shame that Tesco are closing all their fresh food counters in a couple of weeks as I use the one in my local Tesco at least twice a week.

The manger of our local Tesco last week said that our Tesco has the most used fresh food counters, especially the fresh fish counter, of any Tesco and why they had remained operational and open 6 days a week while in most Tesco's the fresh food counters had reduced their opening to just twice a week.

We already use the Digital pound and have been doing so for the past 30 years, what the powers to be want us to use is the Programmable pound - there's a huge difference.

The pound, like the Euro or USD is not money, they're all currencies. For example, under the United States constitution only Gold and Silver are legally money or in British law one pound legally = 1 pound in weight of silver.

"plans for shoppers to use digital currency dubbed 'Britcoin' instead of cash"

The Grand Plan to track everything we do and ultimately control us.Whats wrong with the physical sterling currency we already have? I dont remember voting for any of this nonsense that is suddenly being sprung on us. Its OUR country, it does not belong to the globalists..

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak isn't even pretending to serve the people here, he has his own agenda and you have to wonder how he rose so high so quickly. The billionaire investment bankers are loving his policies..

Treasury and Bank of England consider plans for shoppers to use digital currency dubbed 'Britcoin' instead of cash

I guess 50% of the buy volume transactions today were Citi buy transactions and 40% of the sell volume was Citi sell transactions. Dyor.

Aldi launches 'magic bags' containing £10 of groceries for less than £4 - here's how YOU can get one!

Aldi has partnered with popular food waste app Too Good To Go, rolling out the service across all of its 990 stores in the UK.

Shoppers will now be able to snag products approaching their sell-by or use-by dates at less than a third of the price, with £10 worth of food able to purchase at £3.30.

The 'Magic Bags' promise a range of groceries, in a mission to eliminate food waste across the country.

Nice to know its not all too serious on here ;-))
Unfortunately my wife doesn’t “get” Stewart Lee - understandably he is a bit of a Marmite standup.

That entire yump rant is ridiculous. How does austerity create inflation?

Don't worry though: he *clearly* said he has "taken his leave" so *definitely* will not be back to justify himself...

Yump

"inflation has probably been caused by 12 years of Tory austerity"

Lmao, what austerity?
National Debt has soared for starters by over £1trillion at least.

And "austerity" doesnt cause inflation either fyi!
