Sells at 150 being absorbed so expect next bid between 175 and 200 - will that be sufficient for the Rotweiller?

"M&S and Next tipped as bidders..."

I suppose at the time of announcement of moving from phase 1 to phase 2, if that happens, then they ought to accompany that news with guidance as to acquisition price. They would only be able to move between phases if current holders were happy with a price anyway.

At present, the advisors will be simply trying to herd the group upwards to a more acceptable range. But I wonder whether, if that herding is to some extent successful, they may also be forced to put out news as to approximate price prior to news of moving from phase 1 to phase 2. Just as there are so many bidders, and so many chunky holders, that it might well be difficult to avoid leakage of information in one way or another.

I continue to think the price will go much higher in April

We done know the quantum of the third sycamore offer and they have a deadline to make a 4th. They haven’t thrown their dummy out since the formal sale process

Then they can go into the other process

We don’t know the value of the approach from the unknown party

And we obviously don’t know what’s happened since the announcement that outlines pretty much the above !

Can they still give a trading update too under the current circumstances surrounding the put up for sale . I think they can

Any relevance to that RNS - "In accordance with Rule 2.9 of The City Code on Takeovers and Mergers (the "Code"), Ted Baker confirms that, as at the date and time of this announcement, its issued share capital consisted of 184,611,397 ordinary shares of 5 pence each, which carry voting rights of one vote per share" - and the share price dropping back to 145p?

Wonder if we will pop through 150 today. Would be extremely bullish

Well it's got to get to 242p for me to get my investment back, and there was a time when I thought that was a bargain. So I find these offers rather depressing. On the long term chart this is the very bottom of the valley. Well done to any who got in over the past year.

The rest of the sector is up almost 10% today

Shows how cheap this is still

Let’s hope we are spurred on by US open and not hit by it

Tomorrow this will kick on some more that’s for sure

Showing a lot of strength to stay up above 145p so steadily , imagine someone has a fat iceberg buy order in for mopping up everything at that level . Will likely be one of the bidders

Be extremely interesting to see holding announcements.

Yep I loaded up at 115 after the RNS. I didn’t previously hold but I did very well out of this after Pfizer Monday too.
