05/6/2019 09:47 | Im probably only one who hadn't appreciated that these are in Woodford fund..explains a lot. Holding though.. | sarahbudd
05/6/2019 09:37 | House-building now accounts for 60% of all new construction work. In May 2019, house-building was responsible for around two-thirds of the recorded new contract awards: fantastic news if your company is active in the housing sector; deeply worrying if it is not. We were awarded 6 new projects worth £ 125.7m and 6th in the league but 100% in house building sector! | gotnorolex
05/6/2019 09:33 | I'll move to a different product and start to rebuild here again in January, as long as Corbyn's lot isn't in power. | gbh2
05/6/2019 09:30 | Yep, I'm with you. However, post div I'd be happy to wait, maybe 140 low again and take some more for the long road ahead. | craftyale
05/6/2019 09:10 | As I mentioned in an earlier post, imo whether you are a trader or an investor can be very much age related, at my age long term investment is only for my kids and grand kids, whilst I enjoy the risk / reward of buying and selling. Each to their own needs and financial position, good luck with your decision. Edit: Selling seems to have kicked in at R2, imo IF it breaks that level we could see 175p by close. | gbh2
05/6/2019 09:04 | i think you have to work out whether you are a trader or an investor. whether you are holding tw for the high dividend & the income it gives. i am an investor & am in tw for the income. but i do think that following the special divi that the share price will fall by more than 10p as it did last year. tw's share price is irrelevant to me unless i sell it, which i don't intend to do in the near future. | henrylightningbolt
05/6/2019 09:03 | tbh omg, I expected 170p by the end of today, quite good volume showing atm so anything could be happening on L2 which I no longer subscribe to. Half my holding gone near as dam it 171p, the other half I'll keep for the divi, it'll pay for the Sept Holiday :)) | gbh2
05/6/2019 08:55 | Exactly. Was an easier decision when down at 160 odd | lostuser
05/6/2019 08:54 | Stick or twist :) | m4rtinu
05/6/2019 08:41 | Some turn around from 160p yesterday. gbh might say exterior forces kept price down till the last minute? | omg48
05/6/2019 07:25 | 10.7p actually :) | gbh2
04/6/2019 20:23 | TW. Paying 10p divi and going ex on Thursday might have a lot to do with the rise | peteret
04/6/2019 19:16 | Jugears, you need to take a close look at the First past the Post Electoral system, it was designed to avoid the electorate making Huge changes as the result of a single General Election. I worked on the executive of one of the main parties and they frequently adjusted the Electorate of each Seat, ask any long serving Liberal member, it's why they've been denied Proportional Representation over the decades. | gbh2
04/6/2019 16:46 | Trade war between US & China tension eased. | omg48
04/6/2019 13:32 | What is the reason for bounce back for TW and other builders today? | omg48
04/6/2019 12:26 | gbh2, Why worry about Labour Or Conservative, I very much doubt that we will ever see them in power again come the general election. eeza, Don't under estimate Woodfords ability to invest, most shares are taking a canning at the moment entirely due to Brexit, Once this is sorted the markets will fly. IMO at the moment patience will bring very large rewards. | jugears
04/6/2019 11:43 | Sounds good I'll be watching then also. Good luck. | craftyale
04/6/2019 11:13 | A bit of panic off, Taylor Wimpey and Barratt pulling back early losses. But yep contagion is a major issue. Imb rallying because they believe they are close to Woodford free. | stewart64
04/6/2019 09:10 | All Woodford's holdings taking a real caning. | eeza
04/6/2019 08:30 | TW. 5.37% of WEIF | redalert
04/6/2019 08:14 | Crafty I agree this is a fine share on fundamentals but it has a habit of drifting steadily downwards over the last few summers. Every intention of getting back in later on, maybe even as soon as Thursday. | markdallara
04/6/2019 08:08 | The more I read through Labour's proposals the more convinced I am that they'll have a dire impact on House builders! | gbh2
04/6/2019 07:34 | New labour proposed replacement for Council tax isn't going to help house prices or house purchasing imo. | gbh2
04/6/2019 07:31 | Markd,I'll be buying some more today and watching after June 6 to perhaps pick up some more. Good to see some chat on TW on the run up to spec ex div. I currently hold about 80k shares and as another poster has recently intimated the fundamentals are good. Perhaps take a longer term view, the dividends alone on 80k shares are quite appealing. I've built up over a number of years, slow and steady riding the waves. | craftyale
03/6/2019 22:37 | Say on TW website special of 10p goes ex dividend 6th June. Odd to see these fall so close to deadline. | terminated |
