22/5/2019 12:38 | Can anyone tell me when these go ex dividend for the special dividend. Thanks | 67steve67
22/5/2019 07:59 | Hi Doyden, they use username and password and then a security phrase authentication where 3 characters of your security phrase are ramdomly requested each time you log in. There are 6 of my work colleagues who use this site too. | davenpd
21/5/2019 16:51 | Apologies, I have that much coming in (eventually) today is Lloyds Divi pay date:) | gbh2
21/5/2019 16:22 | How come when TW's Pay Date was reported as 21st May? | gbh2
21/5/2019 16:18 | Yes mine was paid first thing on Friday morning - ii - but they have just reviewed their charges, not good. | uknighted
21/5/2019 15:26 | Thanks gbh2. Yes it was the TW div I was referring to. I thought some had this paid last week but maybe I misunderstood. I am generally happy with IG but slow div payments, introduction of inactivity fees and now also dragging their heels with the production of end of year reports is enough to make me think about moving elsewhere. | doyden
21/5/2019 15:23 | Thanks Dave. I'll look into them.Security is my main concern with any financial website. You clearly feel okay using them if you've been there 4 years. Do they offer two factor authentication or at least use a sub set of password characters or PIN for login? Some websites (Halifax) are still just asking for a full password each time which I don't feel is safe. | doyden
21/5/2019 15:17 | It's been within 24 hours of the actual dividend payment date. | davenpd
21/5/2019 14:34 | Management free ISA looks interesting, thanks dave. Edit: What are they like when divi payments are due, ie how fast are they piad into your account? | gbh2
21/5/2019 14:30 | Doyden, I use X-O, flat fee of £5.95 per trade and no hidden charges even for inactivity. Used them for around 4 years now. | davenpd
21/5/2019 13:18 | Doyden, Just realised you may be asking about today's TW dividend pay out: I have that already spent in my Halifax account. This mornings discussion, as to where my Lloyds Divi is (paid last Friday) and still not in my IG account, see last post for what they had to say! Goes without saying today's TW dividend isn't likely to be in my IG account before the weekend, I too am seeking an alternative. | gbh2
21/5/2019 13:10 | Not yet Doyden, called and asked why, the reason goes the payments go to their "Prime" broker who then sends them out to IG who then Pay them to individuals, the timing is an ambiguous 3 to 5 working days. Clearly in these days of instant bank transfers one can only assume IG are making something out of the delay or someone is walking between branches with a cheque book. | gbh2
21/5/2019 13:02 | gbh2, do you have your div yet through IG?I'm yet to receive mine. I can feel another broker move coming on if they continue to drag their heels like this as clearly some received theirs last week.Anyone have any recommendations? Ideally, they will two factor authentication and low fees. This is what attracted me to IG, only for them to introduce inactivity fees within months of me transferring in. | doyden
21/5/2019 10:12 | Can't help wondering if he has his family open a few spread bets prior to one of his Tweets. | gbh2
21/5/2019 10:02 | It is definitely getting harder to invest.Trump only has to tweet and the whole market slumps | peteret
20/5/2019 19:05 | Until Brexit's sorted nothing will be going anywhere. As I take my dividends in shares the lower they are the more I get for the long term, I'm Surprised how well the markets are holding up considering how far past the original leave date we are, IMHO the markets are just biding there time waiting for lift off & it will come but when is anybodies Guess, For now I am busier than ever & until that changes I am not going to start worrying. If I was to retire now I would be getting a very nice income out of this & lloyds & hopefully In a few years I will be getting an even better one, For me long term investing is still the best & only way to invest, It probably takes longer to make substantial returns but to me it is less risky than buying & selling. Its very easy people on her saying that they sold at this & bought back at that (most of which I take With a pinch of salt)In my opinion it is extremely difficult knowing when to sell & it can be hard knowing when to buy. Other than the early eighties when I managed to buy a lot of bombed out share cheap , Buying extra Tw shares at the beginning of this year has been one of my best moves in a long time, Apart from hoovering up some unwanted Tullow shares for £1.12 a couple of years ago.Is It just me or is investing getting harder ? | jugears
20/5/2019 17:50 | I think it will struggle to get to 185p battue, but I suppose we can hope ;) | gbh2
20/5/2019 16:38 | gbh2 doubt it will get to 200 maybe 190 who knows | battue2
20/5/2019 14:05 | Sp day prior to ex divi minus 10p ish but much depends on state of the market imo | gbh2
20/5/2019 13:49 | What will the price be pre divi | tlobs2 |
