apcecks, The only reason Woodford is selling his house builders is because these are his most valuable stocks where he has made the most profit, It's very simple really he has probably lost so much money on his other investments he has no choice but to sell these. I am sure that if his fund gets back up & running Tw. will be at the top of his buying list, A good well ran solid company that will be around for a very long time yet & IMHO a very undervalued Stock.

dt - you are correct that HL levy a charge of 0.45% for their isa. However, for shares, investment trusts and ETFs this is capped at £45 per annum

GP IG, £8 a trade £5 if you trade more than (I think it's 5 times) a month, long time since I checked. There are fees if you're not a frequent trader.

My other is the Halifax in which I keep my ring fenced holding £12.50 a trade.

Well if you don't see the parallel between what happened to Northern Rock,Bradford& Bingley and what's happening to Neil Woodford there's nothing more to say.

I have a question for the more experienced investors of TW., do you think the company will continue to offer the special dividend? I see they have done so for about the last 4 years.

Jugears,

"I don't see leasehold being a major problem."

Fallout from the Leasehold scandal...
1) cost of redress of existing leases
2) H2B could cease to exist as a result...
3) loss of trust in Housebuilders...

Remember from happened to banks as a result of mis-sold PPI..

Re share price No deal Brexit is perceived as bad for builders, so credible news flow which is seen as increasing likelihood of no deal Brexit softens the builders. Any credible news flow which favours leaving with a deal firms builders. It’s irrelevant whether you think this is a fair reflection or not, it is the markets take on the situation at the moment. Don’t forget its the market which sets the share price Eventually the market will move on and worry about something else, until then enjoy. As for Woodford, selling ~£40m of Wimps shares over last couple of months is not really significant for a £5.5B capitalisation. Of course IMHO.

Strange comment, Northern Rock was a venue for a number of us that used our local Branch & I've been visiting Bradford and Bingley for some years and their population would take issue with anyone not considering them to be Towns.

Jeez viscious fall off on ex dividend for these. Woodford dumping his huge holding wont help, will take 6-12 months to manage that fund down so the horror story liquidation will run and run, fueled by the collapse in WPCT now going on. FCA al over it now but as usual only in time to count the bodies.
