12/2/2016 12:46 | well the only people making money are the bears at the moment...if you've made 100s of % gains why haven't you sold?....its only profit if you sell. Bulls need to take a step back and look at the facts.....things are very very bad out there...Sweden reduced interest rates even further into the negative...this is last resort policies world is awash with debt and banks are on the brink...wont be long before this affects the enormous housing bubble in the uk | ![]() taffee
12/2/2016 09:39 | Nice one Jugears. Taffee is a xxxx (insert your own thoughts). He's been peddling his crud for years whilst the price of housebuilders has continued to rise and lots of folks, myself included, have made 100's of percent gains. Factor in the divis and its wonderful. Don't normally call people names but I really don't understand why he bothers coming on the housebuilder threads. He doesn't want to have a discussion he just wants to make statements of doom. I have him filtered most of the time but turn him on occasionally for a laugh. Long may it be that land is not manufactured, that old houses eventually get knocked down and housebuilders exist to replace them. One of the worst and most boring posters I have ever come across. | ![]() hillbrown

10/2/2016 12:45 | there is a shortage on the market as a result of hmg props and a credit bubble and speculative bubble.... not in general..... There was a shortage of share sellers in dotcom boom.. Then There was not its one of the clues in spotting bubble territory | ![]() taffee

10/2/2016 11:51 | its easy to rent out property at the moment but that can change ....if prices start to fall btlet investors may rush for the exits but as property is illiquid could come unstuck ftbs may wait and see and if prices do spiral down and ftbs start to buy whos gonna rent all the 1.6 million btlets?...this will push holders of portfolios to be forced to liquidate putting further pressure on prices. There is no shortage of property...its in the wrong hands and its part of the biggest speculative bubble in uk history | ![]() taffee

09/2/2016 10:00 | Considering the rentable income on property at the moment I doubt if a one off payment of 3% stamp duty will make any differnce at all as most people buy property as a long term investment & will just except paying it, & if say you have 500,000 to buy a second home you are not going to be worried about the extra 3% | ![]() jugears
09/2/2016 08:08 | Just taken advantage and bought more,ludicrous price atm. | ![]() martyn9
08/2/2016 20:01 | Folk keep using this overpriced word and yet we all know the price that a buyer is willing to pay is the right price at the time, no one I know would go around paying more than they had to for goods! | ![]() gbh2
08/2/2016 20:01 | Off topic. Snp Government in Scotland is putting a 3 per cent stamp duty tax onto second buy to let or holiday homes worth more than 40k from April 2016.I think that would put a lot of people off buying any high value second homes? | ![]() wipo1
08/2/2016 19:04 | 170p.... wow, even I'm tempted again! This is a trading stock now, lucky to get over 2 quid by the end of the year. | e j blythe |
