25/11/2015 08:46 | Aspers - as you probably know, with housebuilders, there will be further recessions in the future. Then will be the time to get out; well just before. On divi, I would welcome regular int and final, rather than special which seems to have a temporary ring to it. | ![]() m4rtinu
25/11/2015 08:32 | Its funny but I keep getting spooked with TW and decide to sell.......as soon as I am out I miss this old friend and realise there are not many other Companies around that are doing so we and paying a great divi. Based on that this time I am staying aboard and with good news coming today I can see this getting to 250p by mid 2016. If I had stuck with my original investment of £5K at 4p I would be sitting very pretty right now, needless to say I didnt but even trading it I have done OK but not as good as I should......so my moral now is dont trade, just sit back and watch your money grow! | ![]() aspers
25/11/2015 08:17 | Seems Georgie Boy will be making money available for new affordable homes, according to BBC. Though what GO considers affordable might be different to ordinary people. EG Household income up to £80,000 to qualify for shared ownership. I would think £60 - 80,000 households wouldn't need much help Actually, my obvious politics aside, some of the ideas aren't bad. | ![]() m4rtinu
24/11/2015 12:09 | Except this is now a very different company to the indebted and bloated one that saw it's share price drop to a few pence in 2008.Houses will continue to be built and demand is almost certainly going to outstrip supply for some time. Imho, I see no immediate danger for TW profits.People have been talking about a house price crash since the early 2000s. I've been following the discussion on a well known related website which has been predicting immanent doom for years. It hasn't happened yet! | ![]() doyden
24/11/2015 10:34 | So you are happy for the shares to fall if the market changes and then You will likely get no dividend as the share price fall would have to be linked To a drop in income/profits. The complacency of bulls is unbelievable...only a few years ago existing shareholders were diluted to hell by tw and bdev | ![]() taffee

24/11/2015 09:22 | Because Taffee, as I've explained to you before, it's not all about capital gain. Some people invest for income in the form of the very attractive dividends TW provides.I've been in since late 2008 and have no intention of selling any time soon. One more special dividend from TW and I will pretty much have my original stake back. I'll remain in then for a free ride and collect the dividends for as long as I can. | ![]() doyden
24/11/2015 09:09 | Any reason for drop for the 5 days. | tancro
24/11/2015 07:38 | It's only profit if you sell the shares....I've done pretty well on the short side recently trumping any previous losses on builders. Amazes me people boast about making multiple times original stake then Don't sell and risk losing it all and making losses...just like oilers And oil recently | ![]() taffee
20/11/2015 10:41 | taffee, Do you have any positions in any housebuilders in any way and are you showing a profit or a loss on paper? Just interested to know given your very bearish stance over numerous years. FYI I am MASSIVELY (1 to 3 baggers) up on paper on TW./BDEV/BWY/CRST and PSN which comprise 42% of my portfolio and provide a lovely income stream as a bonus. Hillie | ![]() hillbrown

19/11/2015 08:19 | Margins under pressure at Bovis update this am The growth in volume and increase in sales prices are expected to deliver strong revenue growth and a capital turn in excess of one. Whilst our operating profit margin is now expected to be only marginally ahead of the prior year, the Group remains on track to deliver a further increase in return on capital employed in 2015. | ![]() taffee
