I agree with Ben Graham that in the short term the market acts as a voting machine and in the long term as a weighing machine. While my prime focus and expertise is on long term value, as TW undoubtedly represents, I am patient on timing. Nevertheless I recognise that short term trading, in which I have no expertise, is what keeps markets alive. It is therefore fascinating to watch your periodic debates on wave theory and how it can be taken advantage of. Keep it up and ignore the moaners. While I have no intention of joining the ranks of short term traders it does help confirm one guru's observation that Mr Market often gives you a second chance to buy value at a reasonable price.
