A little volatile this morning but there is no change in the overall direction. 50p seems just a matter of days away.

Morning,

Analyst - You may well be right in terms of rising pre results instead of afterwards.

The comment in the Times was regarding a much smaller housebuilder and it stated that this may lead to unfound rumours amongst the top tier of builders nothing more.

Good results from Redrow so we should be in for a good day, will be pleased if we can close above the 45p on the bid,

At this rate we could be re-joining the ftse100 over the next couple of months....Now that would give us a boost....

I'm wondering if the good results will already be factored in by Thursday , that's what has happened to my other holdings of late,,,also that we don't get a big FTSE retrace ,, or is it boom time !!!
Here's hoping for another good week ahead .

Analyst/Fist,
Thanks for the posts, agree that we have a lot of posters that have picked up on information that someone has stated previous whether it is an share price prediction or sector information and have done little research themselves.
If you are an investor who is looking at a lower than fair value share price or if you are looking at a growth company with an expectation of growth in a set period from your entry point, you will need to do one hell of a lot of research yourself and never ever take any one else's word for it, only the recent events of the credit crunch proves that sometimes not everything is as it seems.
In the case of tw. we all pretty much agree that it was way oversold but did not recover quite like its sector peers, which some put down to the hedgefunds/mms controlling it,personally I believed that it was our US noose that was weighing us down and we did get a lift when there was talk of possibly offloading it earlier in the year.
But as the huge shift in the us numbers last week showed what was a problem may well become an asset.
I would expect this rise to run for a day or so then we will probably get some profit taking and we may range at the 45-50p level, but I am more than comfortable with this.
However,we need this election out of the way and some certainty to return before we attack that 60p imo but when we do it will be an achievement.
Great to see sensible and reasoned discussion back on here again, looking forward to a blue day tomorrow or are we just getting greedy...lol
HC
PS One additional thing that may push this further skyward is M&A activity creating a speculative buying trend later in the year and the fair value of 65p could very well be surpassed?

Evening,

Honest Crust, I did similar calcs to yourself when I first decided to invest in TW. I have always thought fair value would be around the 60-70p level. I could not see how these will hit £1 anytime soon unless they offload the US part of the business for a decent sum.

I am stuck in a two day workshop with limited access to internet when things seem to be hotting up just typical!

An excellent rational post, followed by an equally good response.

Nice to see some research backing up opinions. Appreciated.

We are bound to see a lot of hype here for the short term as traders ride the wave. We needed some attention and volume to get this moving from an otherwise indifferent phase that lasted almost a year. I am not sure where the share price is heading short term, but certainly not up in a straight line! It could be that by the time the IMS comes out on Thurs, the share price will have factored in almost all of the positive news.

As for jab wanting to go short at 55p, he suggests that it will hit 55p. So why does he not go long now and benefit both ways? or is he one of those wind up merchants who gets kicks out of expressing opposite views?!!

Based on the finish on Friday and the follow up media coverage, I am confident of another fine run tomorrow. GL all. BTW, I have also taken a long stake in BDEV which should move higher in tandem and beyond after Thurs, 'cos their IMS is in May.
