Banks flying back up already... Well, I hope we see some love back here by results time. Still cannot believe my timing for various purchases yesterday, some moments before that Greece downgrade hit.

grax, almost 2 years ago I had exactly the same frustrations with Yell. It went on and on and on for weeks and months around 37p. I sold out of pure frustration and boredom just before I went on summer hols. Within a month they were over 80p.

Seen it time and time again spenny. The figures could be stunningly good but we will get a spike that may last a day or two [like the last ones have at results] before being pulled back into line by the shorters/hadgies.

Obvioulsy I'd like to see figures that blow the shorters out of the water and make them turn tail and start buying but we have had the battle of 40p many, many times and I wouldn't be at all suprised if that is the target once again for the funds.

grax - the way I see it atm is that its not PIs that are selling this market down and TW isn't dropping anywhere near as much as many other stocks so in my book the majority of funds holders are still with us so its just a case of holding on.

"The days of TW responding and reacting based on its' own merits are long, long gone."

Hold that thought until this time tomorrow.

Not paranoia gbh, just a summary of what I see.I am very confident of TW in the long run but I think TW is just part of somebody elses agenda and we are all just subject to whatever that agenda is.

The days of TW responding and reacting based on its' own merits are long, long gone.

And when the banks fall then so do the housebuilders.

And when the banks rise then so do the housebuilders - except TW.

I'm getting more used to how TW trades now.

If there is more selling than buying it goes down.
If there is more buying than selling it goes down.

Seems to be the pattern, with the very occasional one day climb before politely handing back the gain over the next few sessions.

I don't see a lot of change whatever the results tomorrow as I think the momentum has been lost and the focus has moved elsewhere.Maybe the next few weeks after then might see some steady growth as things settle down again and the figures are absorbed.

Greek debt, hung parliament, "double dip fear", fear, worry, concern, uncertainty. All the buy and hold signals you could ever want.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if tw finished blue today with buying ahead of reporting tomrrow, boosted as you say by any turn on the DOW.

The DOW needs to recover, sure as eggs the ftse will follow and drag this back up again. That said, I think this is holding up well compared to many stocks.

I see that TW joined the parachute brigade with the FTSE and the DOW....as always, only on the down days!

With only another session to IMS, could see a recovery tomorrow....here's hoping.
