Great post. I couldn't agree more. It's extremely disappointing to see TW down more than 100 in just a few weeks but here we are. I never thought I'd have an opportunity to buy more at these kind of prices and bolster my income in the form of TW dividends. When the dust settles, just like after Brexit, these will head up again at great speed.

Tw. Look to be the most manipulated HB out of all the building shares this indicates to me that it is soon due a substantial increase but may fall further first.

Tis a mystery. CRST almost on par percentage with the FTSE fall now. TW well behind.

Steeple jack at least tw are in a position to do that if need be, although I would assume that is covered this year
Rember also most of tw staff subcontractors so payments would stop if contractors not required, looking at the figures I would think tw could last 2 years with a huge down turn in orders but I dont think that will happen & any fall in house prices will just fuel demand Imho. Whilst us older people tend to see the more serious side of things & take extra precautions the younger generation don't & carry on as normal, to them this is just a flue bug.

Didnt think I would see sub 120 on these ever. Keep your powder dry folks, there is going to be a turkey shoot once CV19 goes into reverse. It'll be swift I bet.

US companies have announced that they'll be suspend their buyback programmes to conserve cash. These buybacks were estimated to be around $80bn in 2020.I think you must start to worry that TW's plans for a special dividend payment could be shelved until the crisis abates.

The US electronic circuit breaking system sees trading suspended for 15 minutes if the S&P falls 7%.Trading then resumes and a further halt in trading would only occur if the S&P fell 13%.(The S&P is currently down near 10%).

If the S&P were to fall 20% then trading would be halted for the day.

There’s a growing feeling that the US economy could now contract over 2% in the second qtr of this year, barely growing in the third quarter and then recovering in the fourth qtr. Some think these forecasts optimistic and the third quarter could see a continued sharp contraction.Wall street is now at a three year low.

Lots of focus on where the share price may fall to... and not much focus about the £1.00+ that the share price has fallen in the last month. Most, based on the comments, focus more on where to get in, rather than where to get out!

The human race has an infinite capacity to recover from catastrophes.We̵7;re rather like ants in that respect. So far some 5000 have died from the virus globally and most are elderly retired folk in not very good health.50,000 fit young men died on the first day of the Somme.I’m in no way trying to belittle the horrible death statistics associated with Covid19,who knows,I might pop my clogs as a result in due course. However,in time, history will want to place this virus outbreak in a historical context. Its more than likely to show that the global workforce didn’t decline as a result and world population growth registered no measurable interruption. That doesn’t help me to know how far this market might fall but it does reassure me that one day,in the not too distant future,it will recover.

Baracuda If it hits 50p I might buy the company & then lloyds as an add on. Panic is overdone, summer is just round the corner. This is nothing more than a buying opportunity & probably about to be the best most of us will see since the early eighties, Normality will resume it always does. Was very tempted to buy this morning but realizing that how mad & insane most people have become I will wait a little longer.

Steeplejack. Yes, volume sold today is .66 of regular day, so perhaps in line for twice normal volume of selling. I always remind myself that share price is not the worth of the shares but the price at which a small percentage are selling.
If some investors need the money in the short term (or switching to investment with higher perceived return), then there may be merit in selling, but of course that is quite seperate from the share price once normality resumed.
IMO
