Not at all. And whilst down memory lane the three quoted funeral companies in the late 80s were Hodgeson Holdings, Kenyon Securities and Great Southern before they started playing pass the parcel

Long buried comes to mind but if this is not a wind up, then Dignity plc comes to mind as they bought up large numbers of undertakers.

I have just realised that we own a company called Casket. I think this is the former Casket Plc that I had a holding in the mid 80s pre crash. May have been called Casket Holdings. Can anyone shed light on this?

If you look at the market you can already find some crazy valuations even higher in proportion than this one at 500m. Trying to see 4 5 years from now is not such an easy forcast, considering the nature of this business.my thought about it is that if I didn't have any clue about how the 2021 started, considering the last year I'd say that a p/e ratio under 20 is quite cheap becouse of the alternatives that you can find in the market. Than if you consider how much ahead we started the 1h 2021 and not only how but also the reasons why we closed the 2020 in that way, I would consider a p/e under 20 really cheap by any means shape and colors. We will see what the company will bring and how the market will react, 500 m is not in the hands so easily, never say never, but I wouldn't put my hands over the fire that you wouldn't have sold before :) I still hope we hit 8 soon. And than 9,10, 11 ecc..

Castleford and I have already made charity pledges and CT has set an £8.50 target for his donation to be made.

You can choose any company and any charity or simply match another investor and their pledge. I am hoping to get to £100k for lots of smaller deserving charities mainly but all donations much appreciated.

Lets hope the markets stay positive and investors are generous.

makes my stake worth £14m at that valuation!

Lets get the business to a turn over of 50m first with a net profit of £5

Svenice. I'm long on TND but £500m cap seems a tad optimistic. There is a lot of competition around. What time frame are you looking at?

£35 million market cap. This could quite easily be £500 million. Be interesting to see what happens when the big institutions bite. All the green subsidies and changes to way of life since covid will no doubt see sustained growth in their sector.

Growing company, financially healthy, in a booming sector trading at a ridiculous p/e, in one way or another it couldn't have last forever. Maybe institutions will come, who knows? It's still undervalued to me.

I think Stockopedia send out a weekly email to thousands more than just their paying subscribers and that had a very convincing stock pitch for Tandem.

The stock is now fairly tightly held and as you can see just a few buying shares this morning has sent it up 11%

Hi amt

If your comment was addressed at me, then I don't think it is(entirely) down to that. That was posted early on on Friday and didn't seem to have this kind of effect then.

Of course it could be weekend readers "cottoning on" I suppose...

Either way I'm happy with the current direction of travel!

and we are off.............
Those wanting out or to reduce for CGT have gone.
We are now down to a pure investment case.
That remains compelling

Difficult to guess the exact number, but actually it doesn't need a genius to see that the bike industry is booming and the stock is cheap. I don't think all the fraight due the rise of costs would have happened without the industry making a lot of money. Actually I think that consumers would have been "and I hope still" willing to pay more for have a bike. What is sure, is that people who were scared of shortages and high costs have made a bad decision to sell in June, July,or not buying before the er. I think that they are yet in time anyway. Not an advice though, I'm certainly not in the position

I agree Castleford in principle.
Its going to be such a difficult year to predict. So many moving parts. Its even possible but unlikely that the AZ vaccine rollout is set back for example. The impact of that on the Tandem businesses would be difficult to assess. It might not be negative.
Perhaps its going to be a year where we just have to wait to see how things pan out and not have a stab at a forecast. The share price will catch up with the actual results in mid year.
In the meantime its great to see the Company with a strong balance sheet investing for the longterm and in a position to deal with any lumpiness in sales from stock shortages or consumer volatility.
