Just to say that IMHO iv beta interferon as FARN are doing, has no chance of working. You will never get a high enough level to the lungs because it has a short half-life. Giving it by inhaler is most definitely the best way to go

The MMs wanted to get the price this morning but were met with a wall of buyers. I couldn't get a quote online for even 2000 shares when it was 59p. Those sneaky MMs didn't want you to buy any but wanted the price down. Disgraceful as usual...

Their name is out there and people will want a piece of the action. This is momentum buying until the trial results are announced. If positive (and I expect they will be) then the share price will go like a rocket. Who knows where it will end.

I certainly did! - Have to admit errors as well as successes. (they were just my trading shares not the core holding)

The call for help came as London-listed biotech minnow Synairgen started dosing patients in trials of its respiratory drug, which aims to alleviate symptoms in coronavirus sufferers.

Synairgen, which specialises in respiratory drug discovery and development, said the first patient had been dosed at the University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust and a further six trial sites are expected to start dosing in the next few days.

The problem is the overwhelming of the NHS; that is the reason we are in lockdown. The rating of the virus is completely and utterly irrelevant. Sweden has not gone into any sort of lockdown because they have a health service with more capacity which they have expanded in the last couple of weeks. It will be interesting to see how their approach works because in the long term it will probably be better as they will get herd immunity more quickly

So the one most important issue in all countries is how the health service can cope!
