Bounty, I highly doubt it. No one vaccine will be available for at least a year unless it's very high risk and those taking it, effectively become guinea pigs for badly tested candidate and sign their life away before they take it.JNJ are also the only company who can product at scale which smaller companies are going to struggle to do.

JNJ were on the news yesterday, unfortunately it will probably not be ready until Spring 2021 with clinical trials not due to start until September.
Hopefully there will be a number of companies providing the vaccine by then as several are now developing vaccines for Covid-19.

I did check out JNJ recently but I would have had to pay extra charges to buy/sell NYSE:JNJ as only an obscure depository is listed over here (OR34?) which was unavailable.

The Company expects to initiate human clinical studies of its lead vaccine candidate at the latest by September 2020 and anticipates the first batches of a COVID-19 vaccine could be available for emergency use authorization in early 2021, a substantially accelerated timeframe in comparison to the typical vaccine development process.

For me, it's not worth the risk of trading it because if any unofficial break out of positive news appears, there'd be little chance of getting back in at a reasonable price and in a meaningful amount.

The number of shares in issue, even with the new shares, is small.

Wouldn't surprise me if unofficial feedback starts emerging though.

NHS staff are terrified due to the viral load they're facing and the lack of PPE. The spread and effect of this virus is such an emotive subject, particularly for those on the front line.

Any glimmer of hope, whether it's through this trial or in any other form, will spread around rapidly.
