16/12/2016 08:42 | I does feel like we're at an important stage at SPD . Something's got to give..... | nortic 007
16/12/2016 08:35 | I'd make them right as well. | nortic 007
16/12/2016 08:34 | Could be a case of Standard Life sending Mr Ashley a message to get his house in order and also for the chairman to resign . | nortic 007
16/12/2016 08:20 | Norris is it plausible the spike down in price yesterday afternoon triggered selling in S/L putting them below 5% threshold? | rimmy2000
16/12/2016 08:15 | Standard life reduces stake below 5%.I did seem to spark the stock to life yesterday afternoon . The ONLY positive I can take is it did seem to bring out a decent size buyer yesterday who mopped them up.Have good day punters. | nortic 007
16/12/2016 04:50 | They are expecting 14.8p,13.7p,16.2p. Net debt 200m, 386m, 563m. Like most brokers they do get things wrong. | philo124
15/12/2016 22:45 | Unnavailable - 15 Dec 2016 - 13:32 - 2891 of 2922 - 0DD, If not JD Sports, who would you compare Sports Direct with?.To be honest unnavailable I haven't a clue anymore!, try comparing it to any other uk listed REIT as that's the direction MA is taking this - just so he can make his future son-in-law (Michael Murray of MM Prop Consultancy Ltd) a multi millionaire. Spending a helluva lot more on property (£300m+) than what the underlying business is likely to generate in annual profits combined with changing a winning and fairly unique business formula from stack them high and sell them cheap to a "selfridges of sports retail", is complete madness IMO (but wtfdik and MA is a self made billionaire after all !).So, perhaps instead of a REIT try comparing it to Selfridges itself or any other top-end high street retailer.Canaccords TP of 160 does seem very low but then by my calculations they are expecting about 16p eps, most REIT's have PE's less than 10, so on that basis it's not too bad is it!!.DD | discodave4
15/12/2016 20:27 | Much appreciated . | nortic 007
15/12/2016 20:09 | Nortic, PM'd you. | philo124
15/12/2016 18:11 | Good luck to you . | nortic 007
15/12/2016 18:08 | Well their apparent concern was the cash and cash flow going into property at the same time as trading not being robust. Good luck to those that continue to hold and top up, hope it comes good for you. | philo124
15/12/2016 17:59 | By the way ,good market makers don't make good investors. I can vouch for that:( | nortic 007
15/12/2016 17:54 | Well done Philo. I know some of the guys there. I was at Winterflood's for 24 years so know quite a lot of the market. What did you think of the note then? | nortic 007
15/12/2016 17:28 | Am 77k up on 280k, started 1 year ago, SIPP. | philo124
15/12/2016 17:24 | Got update this am by email, they are my brokers. I take their targets with a large pinch of salt. I am concentrating on US stocks at the moment. I think most UK stocks are dead save for the usual Quality large cap divi payers. | philo124
15/12/2016 16:54 | Sounds like Cannacord have only done half a job. What was the point. Thanks Cyberian. | nortic 007
15/12/2016 16:50 | Think Canaccord have it all wrong...it is all based on potential plans to invest in new freehold property to support a targetting of up-market sportware potential seen by the company over the next 4 years. They see no decline in earnings (EBITDA), but a higher depreciation charge of assets...also they admit that they have not taken any account of revenue increase/benefits of this additional strategy. | cyberian
15/12/2016 16:40 | Just had that confirmed from the market Philo. Good work . Maybe flat tomorrow and you might want to get back in. But does seem a strange reaction in share price late on . | nortic 007

15/12/2016 16:26 | Strange reaction to 160 target. Maybe 260 but not 160?? | nortic 007
15/12/2016 16:24 | Maybe a bit less give or take. | nortic 007
